First, please see the How
To Order page for full ordering details. Payment-wise, once
you have followed the instructions for placing your order/notifying
Nanooks of your interest in purchasing, you will be
contacted by a Nanooks representative (be sure to include your email
address or phone number!) and they will provide you with the details to
submit your payment. If you have further questions, please send
us an email directly.
No -- the pictures on this site are just representative
samples of some of our Nanooks colors and sizes. We have added the
pictures and descriptions of the yarn colors to the Catalog
page help you choose the color(s) you would like. When you contact
Nanooks to order, if you do not want a pair that is currently in
inventory or made in our standard color combinations, please feel free
to order a custom pair. If you would like a
pair of Nanooks in a unique color or combination of colors that are not
in our standard inventory, please send us an email or use the "Feedback" form
on the Contact Us page to request a custom order.
A
Nanooks representative will follow up with you to confirm your color
choice and let you know how long it will take to produce and ship them
to you. The price for custom-ordered Nanooks is $2.50 in addition
to the standard cost of similar-sized Nanooks.
Each pair of Nanooks are made by hand, with a
combination of knitting and crochet. Nan builds in extra warmth
and comfort by using double-strands of yarn. They are made of 100% acrylic wool,
which makes caring for them very easy.
The great thing about Nanooks is you can throw them
right in your washing machine and your clothes dryer -- we recommend the warm
cycle for both.
Yes -- to increase the ankle or foot size, place a damp
cloth on the area and then heat it with a warm iron. While warm, stretch
the slipper to desired size.
