Due to extreme computer woes, I will be able to
make page updates and receive mail, but I won't be able
to answer any mail until my troubles
are resolved.
Additionally, I'll be on vacation in IL the first week in May of 2004,
and won't even be able to receive mail - but it will be waiting for me
at home.
Sorrier than you are, Carol - 04/23/04

The Alma Mater
Within these sacred walls
we stand, To
praise thine honored name, We sing to thee,
dear Newport High, Thy
glories we proclaim.
Chorus:
Hail, hail to the Gold and Blue, We
raise thy banners high, And ever through thine
endless days, In
triumph, may they fly.
O Alma Mater, in our hearts, We'll often
turn to thee, And echo once again the songs Of thy dear memory.

Newport News, VA
1965 Senior Class Song
From our freshman days to
our senior year, Our efforts yield no refrain; We have crossed the
path
with great success, Thy honors we proclaim. We have
closed the doors to Newport's past, For the future we must strive;
But shall keep the memories
within our hearts, The class of
sixty-five.
Refrain: Yesterday's problem, Today's effort,
Tomorrow's success.

To obtain and maintain the services necessary for this
ever-growing website,
as of 10 Sep 2003, we now have professional web-hosting to better serve our
needs.
Of course, these improved services cost money.
These funds are provided by the generous contributions
of viewers like you, either through PayPay or by direct mail.
There are now over 170 subscribers to the newsletter,
and I suspect that each of you will visit the site at least once each year.
If each one of you would donate just $1.00 each year,
the web space expenses would be covered.
What a bargain: Just one measly dollar a year,
and you get all these memories, images, and even current gossip.
Please consider a donation to keep us going.
Thank you for your support.
(In the interest of
space, as of 01/20/04, this section now has its own page.)
VISITORS:
HIT # 20,000 WAS MADE ON 11/14/03 AT 10:19 AM!
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU MADE IT!
There ARE prizes for every 500th hit, you know!
And every now and then, I actually pay up...
BUT - I do need to know who you are and where to mail your prize!
PLEASE - notify me if you are one of our lucky winners, lest I
miss it!!!
This ornament is available in your choice of threads
(white, cream, ecru or white/silver) AND your choice of two ribbons
(practically any two colors you can imagine).
These are the two usual prizes.
If you win a second prize, you will obviously
receive a different ornament.
If you make a MAJOR hit
(# 10,000, # 15,000, # 20,000, etc.),
your prize will hopefully be more impressive.
This is but a
representation of a possible design for a
Hanukah ornament.
I'll think of something...
As I tend to be as slow crocheting and cross-stitching as I am
with everything else,
there may be a "slight" delay before your prize reaches you...
"To me there are three things everyone should do every day.
Number one is laugh. Number two--spend some time in thought.
Number three, you should have your emotions move you to tears.
If you laugh, think, and cry, that's a heck of a day."
