The height of the sarcophagus is 202 cm. A little fact about Deir el-Bahri was that it used by memebers of the upper-middle class of Egyptian society.



Colossal Statue of Queen Tuya



The statue of queen Tuya comes from the 19th dynasty, which was the reign of Ramses II. This was dated approximately around 1279-1213 BC. The statue of queen Tuya is made of dark granite with yellow-red marks and has a height of 227 cm. Queen Tuya was the wife of the pharaoh Sethi and mother of Ramses II.



Head of the Pharaoh Mentuhotep II



The head of the pharaoh Mentuhotep II is dated in the 11th dynasty around 2010-1998 BC. This statue comes from Thebes and is now located in the Gregorian Egyptian Museum. It is made of yellow sandstone and has a height of 60 cm. Inscribed on the back right-hand supporting pillar is the name of the sovereign. A fact about the pharaoh Mentuhotep II was that he undertook great building projects and is the founder of the 12th dynasty.

The god Anubis is the lord of mummification who guided the dead to the underworld. Anubis holds a sistrum in his right hand and in his left hand he has the caduceus of Hermes who guided the souls of the Greeks and Romans.
