Class: Noisette Height: 4-6.5' Hardiness:zones 6-9 Bred:Philippe Noisette, 1814, USA Description: Double, repeat flowering, ligh pink with prominent yellow stamens, fragrant (clove). We purchased this rose in the spring of 2004 from Tufton/Jefferson Center for Historical Plants/Monticello. I had long admired the plant grown at Tufton and was glad for the chance to buy one from them at the annual open house. We potted up the plant from the band to a one gallon pot and already it has produced many fragrnat blossoms. The plant has been free of disease and is growing quickly. Both Tufton and the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden grow this rose as a pillar, but I am leaning more towards a large shrub perhaps against a fence. |
