Class: Climber
Height: 6-12'
Hardiness:to zone 6
Bred:Oleson, Denmark, 1998

Description: Fragrant, red and white striped, repeat flowering, very double. This rose is also called Calypso in honor of Jacque Cousteau's ship.

Comments: I purchased this rose as a grafted, two gallon plant in Spring 2000. In the Spring of 2001, I planted it in Rose Bed Six where it will be trained to spiral up a pillar. The pillar will be linked with chain or rope to another pillar with a similarly trained rose on one side and to an arbor, also covered by a climbing rose, on the other side.

Cl. Berries and Cream is fairly disease free and has flowered sporadically throughout the season. It has not put on much new growth this first season in the ground.

UPDATE: This rose died in 2003.
