Class: Tea
Height: 3-4'Width: 4'
Bred:Cant, England, 1901

Description: Fragrant, medium pink, repeat flowering, very double.

Comments: After repeated failed attempts to root this rose, I finally bought an own root plant Fall 2001. It is planted in Rose Bed Seven.

I have long admired the plant in Hollywood Cemetery. It is disease resistant, flowers abundantly, and has a strong, fruity fragrance. The combination of the color and the scent remind me of raspberries. The fat, heavy flowers often nod on the delicate stems. New foliage is brilliantly red, typical of many china descendants. If I could only grow one rose in my garden, this would probably be it.
