Chapter 18
Tyler woke the next morning to the sound of the shower. She rolled over to find Kevin gone. Sleepily, she got up and went into the bathroom and found him getting ready to take a shower. She put her arms around him from behind and placed a light kiss on his back.
"Mmmm...Good morning, baby. I didn't mean to wake you."
"You didn't...well, you did. I just realized you weren't in bed with me."
"I didn't have the heart to wake you. You were sleeping so peacefully. Join me for a shower," said Kevin giving her that sexy grin that she loved so much.
Tyler couldn’t resist Kevin's smile or his eyes. They stepped into the shower together and Kevin took her in his arms kissing her. Then he took the soap and slowly began to lather her. Kevin took his time exploring her body, memorizing every curve. When he had every inch lathered, Kevin rinsed her off.
Tyler was extremely aroused by the way Kevin had lathered and rinsed her. What turned her on even more had been the way Kevin looked at her the whole time. The look had been complete love and Tyler felt like her heart was going to bust with the love she felt for him.
As Kevin stood holding her, Tyler began to cry and Kevin wiped the tears away saying, "Oh, baby! I didn't mean to make you cry."
"It's okay, 'Boo'. I can't explain it, the way you looked at me and the way you touched me...it was as if you made love to me but..."
"There's more than one way to make love, baby, and I look forward to showing it ALL to you."
Before Tyler could get started with Kevin, they heard banging at the door. Tyler looked up at Kevin. "Who could that be?"
"Probably the guys. AJ's probably drunk or something."
"Do we ignore them?"
Kevin laughed, "They won't go away. Why don't you go out and see what they want while I finish my shower?"
As the guys banged on the door outside, Tyler gave Kevin a kiss. "They are SO obnoxious," laughed Tyler.
"Oh, it's just the beginning, baby," laughed Kevin. "There's a robe on the back of the door."
Tyler got out of the shower, pulled on the robe, and went to answer the door. They were still banging on the door and Nick practically fell into the room when Tyler opened the door. AJ grabbed Tyler hugging her and spinning her.
Tyler laughed, "'Bone'! Stop! Put me down! What's with you bozos spinning me around? Do you want me to throw up on you?"
Howie said, "Be careful, 'Bone'! She IS pregnant."
AJ set Tyler down. "I'm sorry! Are you okay? I didn't mean to hurt you!" said AJ excitedly.
It was Nick's turn to take Tyler in his arms and he hugged her tight, lifting her off the ground. "You missed it, Ty! It was awesome!"
"What are you two so excited about and where are Fiona, Kryss, and Lex?"
Howie said, "They're in the rooms getting showers. Where's Kevin?"
"Taking a shower."
Nick and AJ realized that Tyler's hair was wet like she'd just gotten out of the shower. AJ said, "Oh wow! We interrupted, didn't we?"
"Sorta! Now why were you banging on the door like the place was on fire?"
"Joey was arrested last night, this morning...while we were at the party!" babbled Nick excitedly.
Tyler had to sit down to take it all in.
Howie sat down beside her and asked, "Are you okay?"
Dazed, Tyler said, "I guess so. They really arrested him IN FRONT of everyone?"
"Yeah! Oh, they didn't cuff him until he tried to take a swing at the cop," said Nick. "They said something about something that happened here at the hotel. What DID happen here last night?"
Kevin came out of the bathroom wearing the other bathrobe. "What's going on?"
Tyler looked up at him. "Joey was arrested."
Kevin saw the look in Tyler's eyes and he said, "Baby, you know this is the only way to get through to him."
"Kevin, what happened here last night? I mean, when we left you guys last night, Tyler wasn't going to press charges," said Howie.
Kevin explained about how Tyler's room had been trashed and all her clothes taken.
"Whoa! What a jerk! But how did he manage that?" asked Nick.
"What do you mean, Nick?" asked Tyler still dazed by the news.
"Well, after I decked him, he and Justin went to the party. They were there when we got there and he was pretty well smashed! He didn't have time to come her and trash the room."
"Kevin! What have I done?"
"Nothing, baby," said Kevin as he took her in his arms. "If he's got an alibi, they'll release him."
"So, what are you going to wear?" asked AJ teasingly. "The press will really like the robe!"
"Where's Sonja?" asked Tyler.
"She and Brian crashed about two hours ago two doors down," said Howie.
"I'll go down and borrow some clothes from her."
"We'll get you some more clothes when we get to Canada," said Kevin.
"This is getting ridiculous," said Tyler. "You keep having to buy me clothes. By the time I get back to Orlando, I'll have a whole new wardrobe."
"I'm trying to convince you that clothes aren't necessary," teased Kevin as he kissed her.
Tyler laughed, "Yeah! Like AJ said, I'm sure the press would love it me walking out with just this robe on."
There was knock at the door and Howie went to get it. It was Lance and Chris.
"Is Tyler around?" asked Lance.
Howie looked back at Tyler who nodded her head to let them in. Howie said, "Come on in."
Chris and Lance came in and Nick asked, "What the hell do you two want?"
Tyler looked at Nick and said sternly, "Nick, don't!"
Nick looked sheepishly at them and said, "Sorry."
"We brought you your clothes and to talk," said Lance as he handed Tyler her bag and Kevin's jacket. "Joey was with us all night and there's no way he could have trashed your room. Joey was really trashed and when we brought him back, your stuff was on his bed."
Chris said, "We think Lou was responsible."
Tyler said, "He's the one who had Kevin's jacket so you're probably right. Is Joey okay?"
"He's going to have a hell of a hang over when he wakes up and he's still hurting over losing you, but he'll be fine. Tyler, he really does love you despite what he's done to you," said Chris.
AJ said, "We understand all that, bro, but Ty's made her choice. He's just making things harder for himself."
Nick said, "We all love Tyler but she and Kevin were made for each other."
Kevin pulled Tyler close to him as Lance said, "We see that and so does Joey. I honestly think he's seen that since the very beginning and that's why he was so jealous. Joey isn't usually like that with a girl but Tyler, you REALLY got to him."
"Where's Joey now?" asked Tyler.
"Passed out in his room," said Chris.
"Before we leave, I'll stop in and talk to him."
AJ, Nick, and Howie chorused, "NO, YOU WON'T!"
Kevin said, "Tyler, let all this settle down. Last night was tough on Joey. Joey was hurting and we rubbed his nose in the fact that you and I are together. Granted, he didn't help the situation."
Lance said, "Kevin's right. I'll tell him about the doctor's appointment and hopefully he'll have calmed down by then."
"We need to get going," said Chris.
"Thanks for bringing me my stuff."
Lance and Chris left and Tyler went into the bathroom to get dressed. When she came back, Kevin was dressed and the guys were gone.
"Where is everyone?" asked Tyler.
"Gone to get the others. The limo is waiting downstairs."
"This is it."
Handing his jacket to Tyler, Kevin said, "This is it, baby! Are you ready?"
Kissing him, Tyler said, "Definitely! I'm ready to get on with my life...as your girl."
Kevin grabbed her stuff and they went out into the hall where the rest of the gang was waiting on them. They all moved to the elevators.
Downstairs, Tyler was shocked to see the crowd waiting outside. There were two distinct groups of girls-Backstreet fans and 'NSync fans. As they made their way to the limo, Tyler realized that the Backstreet fans were cheering their support for her and Kevin and the 'NSync fans were booing her. It really was a battle of the bands and the fans were now involved too!
Kevin said after they were in the limo, "I told you they loved you!"
Tyler smiled, "You're always right, aren't you?"
Teasingly, Kevin wiggled his eyebrows at her, smiled that sexy smile, and said, "Yes, and you might as well accept it, baby!"
