Part 22
Looking at herself in the mirror as she combed out her hair, she tried to clear her head. What did the future hold for her being a celebrity’s girlfriend? How would she hold on to him? Her brother’s words echoed in her heard...Trust yourself as much as you trust him. AJ had promised to go at her pace and for the last week, he had been the perfect gentleman. Not once had he tried anything even when they had slept in the same bed together. And that afternoon, he could have done what he wanted but when things started heating up, he’d pulled back. It was all up to her.
Wearing a black, two piece bathing suit, she was ready. She quietly made her way downstairs and shyly stepped through the door to the patio area where AJ was already in the hot tub.
Looking up as she closed the door, AJ’s heart skipped a beat. Her hesitation prompted him to get up and go to her.
“You are absolutely gorgeous,” he greeted as he held her hands out to see the suit. Slowly, he turned her around to see the whole suite. “A knock out.”
Facing him once more, Stormy felt the heat in her cheeks as she said, “Thanks.”
Her eyes roamed his body as the light from the house shimmered on his wet skin. He wasn’t quite as skinny as everyone had said but she knew this was because of the weight he’d put on recently. He had told her about a bout with sleeping pills and how he’d struggled to get over his addiction to them. He still looked good and he’d been working out, toning up his muscles knowing that he would be doing some solo stuff in the near future. And his tattoos…one of the many things she loved about him seemed to stand out even more on his body.
AJ led her to the hot tub where he stepped in first and then turned to help her. All the while, his mind raced with thoughts of holding her tight against his body. He struggled to maintain control because at that moment, he wanted to scoop her up, take her to their bedroom, and make love to her all night long. Her shyness only served to fuel his desire to have her.
Handing her a glass of sparkling cider, his hand touched hers and their eyes met. In that instant, seeing the gentleness in his rich brown eyes, her nervousness vanished and a smile lit her eyes. She finally noticed the soft music playing in the background and recognized it.
“This song….it’s by All 4 One, right?” she asked.
“Yeah, it’s called, “I Swear” and he began to sing along with the music….

Stormy gave a soft sigh as the song ended and AJ leaned over to give her a small kiss. “I swear, Stormy,” he whispered against her lips.
The brown of his eyes intensified as he made this promise and Stormy felt like she was melting on the inside. She touched him, caressed his cheek.
“This has been the most perfect night,” she whispered.
“That’s because you were here,” he answered as he put his arm around her bringing her next to him. “I should have brought you out here sooner.”
“No, this is perfect…the perfect ending to our first night together.”
“Definitely….a beautiful night, a beautiful woman in my arms….perfect night,” whispered AJ as he kissed her, a slow, tantalizing kiss, their tongues dancing together. His hand held her face, his finger stroking her soft skin.
Soft music continued to play in the background as the two sat in silence watching the stars sparkling in the night sky.
