Chapter 17

After a day of shopping and touring the island, Richie and Dominique made their way along the beach holding hands.  They weren’t talking but it was a comfortable silence.

The sun was about to set when Richie pulled her to a log where he sat down so that he leaned against it.  He pulled her down so that she was sitting between his legs.  Wrapping his arms around her, he nuzzled her neck.

Dominique put her hands on his arms as she closed her eyes.  A soft sigh escaped as she relaxed into his embrace.

“Happy, ‘Princess’?” he asked as he placed a kiss on her ear.

“Extremely.  It felt so good today to be able to move about without a bodyguard or being afraid.”

“I don’t know about the ‘no bodyguard’ because you had one all day.”

“You don’t count,” sassed Dominique.

“I don’t count?!  I’m HURT!” pouted Richie feigning to be upset.

Dominique laughed as he buried his face in her neck pretending to cry.  “You do count but not as a bodyguard.”

“Really?”

“You count as my ‘Prince Charming’,” she said as she turned her head to look at him.

Richie smiled, “My beautiful princess,” and he placed a kiss on her lips.

Dominique leaned her forehead against his chin as her body screamed for a fix.  She could feel herself shaking and prayed that Richie didn’t notice.  Of course, the sweat rolling off of her was a dead give-away.

“Dominique, are you okay?” asked Richie, the concern plain in his voice.

“I will be.  Just hold me.”

Richie tightened his embrace as she tucked herself even closer.  “I thought you had this under control.”

“I do…sorta.  I was supposed to go by Noah’s today to get a shot to help curb the need but I forgot.”

“That’s not good, baby,”

“I know but we were having so much fun.”

“Let’s go to Noah’s now.”

“No.  Please, it’s not as bad as that first night.  I want to do this without more drugs.”

“But, baby, you’re shaking and sweating.”

“I’ve got you, Richie.  As long as I’m in your arms, I can do this.”

“I don’t like seeing you suffer.”

“I know, but I promise, having you here with me, your arms around me, makes it so much easier.”

“Is there anything else I can do to help?”

“Sing to me.”

“How about we head back and fix some dinner first?  Then, afterwards, you can curl up on the couch or in bed and I’ll play my guitar too.”

“Sounds like heaven.”

“With the most beautiful angel in my arms!” replied Richie as he pushed her up.  He stood too and she turned to face him putting her hands on his chest.  “Are you okay?”

“Getting better every minute I’m with you,” she whispered as she stood on her toes to kiss him.

Richie wrapped his arms around her to pull her tight against him covering her lips with his own.  Their tongues danced erotically, tasting each other, and touching new spots.  He felt her body react, her fingers tangling in his hair, and he was on fire.  This angel was a gift from heaven that he intended to hold on to with everything he had.

Breaking the kiss, she looked into his eyes to say, “I love you.”

“I love you too, Dominique.”

"Think you could use some help fixing dinner?”

“I’d love some help, baby.”

With his arm around her shoulders and hers around his waist, the couple headed back to the villa.  They talked about what they were going to fix for dinner and what they were going to do tomorrow.
