Leaving the area
Protestors leave the area without incident, but with hours just 3 miles away protesors became over zealous and several LAPD Officers had to act. Several persons were arrested, but no one was seriously hurt. Due to the support of the CEO, Executive Officers and the Chief of Police, the WLA-VA Police Special Response Team was ready and capable of handling this situation. The SRT had been training for this event for several months. This illistrates that with proper training, preparation and upper management support, the VA Police is an effective police force.
