Alrighty, so who am I you ask? Do you really wanna know? ...Are you suuureee? Cause once you get into my head there ain't no turnin' back, BABY! @_@
Okies, well...my name is Lisa and I'm an Anne Rice-a-holic. My obsession began sometime in 1994-1995 with my newfound love for the Aussie band known as Savage Garden (thanks to my friends, mwhaha). After reading an interview that stated the band's name came from a phrase in an Anne Rice book, I decided to check the books out. The more I read, the more I found myself falling in love. With EVERYTHING. The characters, their world, just...everything. I found that I could emotionally relate with some of the characters and the personalities of others inspired me in so many ways. Lestat, for example, never gave up no matter what was thrown his way and he has since become my muse of sorts :) There is so much that I could say about each book and the magic that I find within them, but we'll save that for the musings section ::winks::
Am I babbling? >_< Anywho, I was raised in a Catholic household in the midst of the great Windy City. Growing older I found that I did not agree with a lot of the Catholic teachings and found my beliefs to be more Pagan based after doing a bit of research. I've always felt close to nature, she's everything that I am. There is a great and deep spiritual connection there, that I can't find the words for. Maybe I never will. Maybe it doesn't matter. I've always takin the "Earth is our Mother" to heart, and that's something that will never change.
I'm currently in my sophmore year of college dreaming of the day when I graduate and recieve my degree in Marine Biology so I can go off into the wild blue yonder and research, as well as protect, orca whales. The ocean especially has a special place in my heart and I hope it's always around for our future children. I hope we realize the impact we have on all other creatures on this planet. But hey, whose lecturing? Not me @_@
I still listen to Savage Garden, their music has changed my life in so many ways for the better. Unfortunatly, they broke up and now Darren (the lead singer with the golden voice) has a solo album out, "Spin". If you like hardcore pop music you'll love his album. For me, it's just okay. Then again I still miss SG, sooo...LOL! And Daniel (the amazing music man) is busy producing many a band in Aussie land (I rhymed!) including a band by the name of Aneiki, who is also very pop-like. Does the hard rock edge only happen when they work together?? ?_? Anywho, other bands I'm in love with include (and is in NO WAY limited to) Guns N' Roses, Disturbed, Placebo, H.I.M, Richard Marx, Inkubus Sukkubus, Capercaillie, Evanescence, and tons more. Music is a way of life :D
I'm also an artist. I draw, paint, whatever. I've been into art since I was 7, so I've been doing it for quite a long time now. I wouldn't trade it for anything :D :D So! What else can I say? I'm an extremely open minded person that just doesn't understand those who shun others away for being "different". Be who you are and screw everyone else is my motto. :D Be YOU! Be FREEEEE! LOL! Alrighty. I think you've heard way too much about me. Me go bye bye now :D ::zooms off::
