This is just a page for my ramblings as well as yours. So if you want to say anything (and I mean ANYTHING) about the Vampire Chronicles, drop me an e-mail and I'll put it up! :)

Alrighty! The date is March 24th, 2003, and I would like to use this night to rant and rave about how I feel that THAT MOVIE is the cause for all the teeny bopping Anne Rice fans taking over the net. EVERY SITE I come across there is SOMETHING about Stuart playing Lestat and how sexy he is and how the movie is PERFECT (Umm...fuck off!?). Now, I have nothing against Stuart, let me just say that before my mailbox overflows with hatred. His performance was as good as one could get when dealing with the shit script the poor man had to taint his memory with. But I am so SICK of seeing all these god damned Mary Sue sites with Lestat and Jessie all over them. And yeah, yeah, if I don't like it then I should just ignore it and not go to those sites, blah blah blah. But this is one thing I can't just ignore. I mean Lestat and Jessie?? JESSIE?! Not only is that a disgrace to the books, but it's a disgrace to the Anne Rice fans as well. As well as Anne herself (and I heard that she liked the movie?! HELLO?!!?). I could go on and on all damn night about this, and you've all heard it before, I'm sure.

But I just had to get out some of my frustration. Just don't get me started on how wrong the movie itself was >_< Ugh. ::shudders::

So, like...today is October 29th, 2002, and this is my first babble. I would like to begin by talking about the books. If you've read em', great. If not, great. But thanks for giving my site one more hit :) ::giggles:: So as stated in the Chronicles section (if you read it, that is), I said that I believe many people connect with these books because the vampires reflect what it means to be truly human. Now don't get me wrong, I didn't mean that we are all killers or violent or anything. What I meant was that after reciving the Dark Gift, the irony of it is that the vampire's senses are hightened along with their emotions, their ability to feel. So by becoming a vampire what they are really becoming (at least to me) is more human. They grieve because their hightened senses (ie: read minds, sight, hearing, etc...) allow them to see the beauty of the life around them more fully and they have to destroy this beauty in order to survive.

The kill to them is also beautiful and this process is grieved over as well. And you have to remember that the vampires themselves are not monsters. They are human souls that have had to deal with the horror brought upon them by their vampiric instincts and desires (whether they were forced into it or not). So in the end, at least for me, the books symbolize just how strong the human soul is and how much one person can endure. All vampires deal with their immortality differently. Their reasons for still existing as what they now are differ with each character making them all unique in the ways they see their world and in the ways they suffer. As well as in the ways they triumph.

Am I making any sense? Probably not. LOL! Some things I can't really put into words. Let's just say that there are WAY too many things about the books that I love and trying to explain them all would take too damn long. Plus I'm just in love with Anne's characters. I mean, Lestat? Louis? Marius? Armand?? Who can fault me for that?! LMAO! ::hands raise:: Ermm...anywho...:P~ That's enough of my rambling. I lost my train of thought if I had one at all to begin with! @_@ Lucky you...
