The Magic Box as we know it was acquired in 2000 by Rupert Giles after a series of unsucessful attempts by other entrepreneurs to utilize the space as a magic shop. Following the the passing of the previous owner, Mr. Bogarty, Mr. Giles bought the shop and transformed it into the popular store it is today. See pictures of the renovation of the store.
