“So what the hell happened with you two?” I asked, trying to digest all of this insane information. “How is it that one minute you were….. well, two guys that basically looked identical yet not either one of you and now you’re,…. Separate again? Am I making any sense or am I crazy?”
“Hmph,” came Vegeta’s hostile response. “That’s an easy one. I wanted to be on earth while all this was happening and Satan didn’t trust me enough to leave me alone. Therefore, he merged me with pretty boy butt fuck over there in order to keep an eye on me.”
Zarbon managed a wicked grin, his beautiful white teeth gleaming from beneath perfectly shaped lips.
“Butt fuck indeed.” He winked at me.
“Uhh…” I stuttered, quickly looking away. “So how did you two… un-merge?”
“Satan’s power is unfocused,” replied Zarbon with a sigh. “He’s apparently concentrating on ending the world and figures keeping us two together is the least of his concerns at the moment.”
“ENDING THE WORLD?!” I nearly jumped into the air right then on a course to no where. “Why would he do that?!”
“God,” spat Zarbon, pointing at me while speaking to Vegeta. “Would you get a load of this one? Christ your thick! Uh, he’s EVIL?! Besides, he’s got the two things he wants, this world’s of very little use to him now.”
“Wait,” I said. “Two things? What do you mean two things? I thought he only wanted me.”
“Uh uh,” He shook his head. “Thanks to boy wonder over here, he needs something else too. Or didn’t you share that part with him Vegeta? Oh, that’s rich, I might have figured.”
He looked over to me finally.
“He’s got Bulma doesn’t he?”
…………………………………………………………………
“Shit, shit, shit!” I kicked random things. “GOD! Am I THAT stupid! What the FUCK is wrong with me? I might have…..” I looked up at Vegeta. “No. No that’s stupid. I had no idea what-so-ever that he’d take Bulma. Why’s he taking her?”
Vegeta refused to answer and sent Zarbon a look that promised a second death if he uttered a single word regarding the subject.
“Fuck it.” I said finally. “Let’s go. I’m not going to wait around here for you two to-..”
“I’m coming with you.” Said Vegeta sternly, looking into my eyes with a don’t-EVEN-question-me-on-this look. I simply nodded, marching out of the room, the prince (if you could still consider him that, I’ll have to check back with you) following behind.
“I do have a few more questions,” I stated, rounding a corner.
“I’d be ashamed of you if you didn’t.” he answered honestly. “Ask away.”
I was actually encouraged by his congeniality regarding this, surprised since this was, let’s face it, simply the most difficult man I could ever recall knowing. Spurned on by his allowance, I tried to sort the questions in my mind, finding so many up there that I was almost at a loss as to which one to voice.
“So,” I stuttered. “What IS all this exactly? I mean this house, the people in it. Are they….. real?”
Instead of answering me, he simply directed me down another hall, leading us towards the enormous orgy/dance room.
“I want to show you something,” He whispered, peeking around the corner. “I want you to forget what you know about this life and this universe. I want you to let go of your opinions regarding good and evil and simply look.”
He pushed me ahead of him and cupped his hands over my eyelids so that I couldn’t see out.
“Now, I want you to look at them and tell me what you see.” He hissed, moving his hands slightly so that I could behold the same old scene I had taken part of so many times. Beautifully shaped people twirling mindlessly in a sea of men, sex, drugs and lights. Water spouts covered the ceiling and rained down upon the soaked bodies beneath.
“I see people dancing.” I answered in a bored tone, anxious to get out of here and not be reminded of why I adored this place so much. “I see them fucking.”
“Right.” He said quietly, closing his hands over my eyes. “Now I want you to look again. Look with your true eyes and see them….. see them for what they REALLY are.”
He removed his hands suddenly and was forced to catch me as I tumbled backwards, letting out a cry that was stifled by his palm. To describe it is simply ludicrous. If you don’t already think I’m on a one track truck to the loony bin, you’ll be convinced of it now, but nevertheless, I’m bound and determined to try.
They were creatures like you’d never imagine. Like the human mind can’t begin to imagine. You see movies with diseased, gruesome creatures, aliens, monsters and you truly must think that the human mind is so creatively fucked up. Believe me, no mind could conjure up what I saw. Imagine the most horrific, grisly thing you can think of. Or better yet, your worst fear incarnate within feet of you. Ok. Now times it times one hundred, no, a thousand.
Don’t believe me do you? I suspected as much. Oh, I’m doing horrible with this. Let me try again.
Creatures that had no real shape or form flowed like waves of the ocean, their bodies moving as though they had no spines or bones. Some were floating, others crawling along the floor, their heads shaking at an inhumane pace. Their faces were inconceivable. I don’t know what other word would work any better so I’m sticking to that. They all seemed black one moment, and then would turn to an almost iridescent greenish purple.
Whatever terrible descriptions I used, the feeling I got from them was indisputably evil. It absolutely flowed from them. And if that wasn’t a horrible enough scene, the water that had poured from the ceilings, was now replaced by spraying blood. Blood, they seemed to be drinking and dousing themselves with.
“What….” I could barely speak, though Vegeta had removed his hand. “What about…. those women?” I pointed to probably five beautiful, young women sitting in the corner, the same blank faces as I had recalled before, still in human form. “Why aren’t they… monstrous like these? They’re still so beautiful. Like….. almost like dolls.”
“That’s what they are Kakarot.” He said quietly, almost looking in pity at them. “They’re women who sold their souls for beauty and money. Women who married the rich and the shallow and the old and the evil, spreading their legs at a price and never realizing they were no better than any other sort of prostitute. They compromised who they truly were, forgetting any ideas of falling in love and instead, becoming mindless, brainless dolls on the elbow of monsters. In the afterlife,” he sighed. “Why would it be any different? That’s their punishment Kakarot.”
“What do you mean?” I whispered.
“They got their wish.”
“They became nothing.” I breathed, finally understanding. The dull, dead look in their eyes. The way they emanated no personality or characteristics. Certainly, they would be young and beautiful forever, but at a price that betrays any true beauty. And suddenly, to me, I realized just how ugly they truly were.
“Lets get out of here,” I managed to say, tugging on his arm as we exited.
_------_-----_-_-_---
Flying through the sky, I was hit with the most foreboding feeling, experiencing what most men walking the green mile of death row must feel like. A sense of the inevitable death approaching by means of my own movement. Like a suicidal rush, like watching the knife slide over my veins. I was staring death in the face and the dawning of the realization struck me like a slap in the face. I wasn’t just going to my death. I was now facing the ultimate damnation and the real possibility that I would go precisely where I belonged.
Hell.
“Don’t be afraid of it,” Vegeta was saying, flying right next to me through the chilling wind. “You mustn’t let your fear control you. Harness it for caution but don’t fall victim to it.”
“Are you kidding me?” I growled, shivering in the cold. “I’m fucking trembling.”
“And he’ll sense it too,” He cautioned. “He’ll feed off that and he could probably sense it from here.”
We had no real direction. But we both also knew that we didn’t need one. We simply flew in the direction of the most evil, were it seemed to emanate from. Like it had a pulse, it came in waves, flowing from the same spot, though where I wasn’t sure.
“So, let me get this straight,” came Zarbon’s voice next to us. “You monkeys are actually flying off to do business with the Devil, you,” he pointed to me. “his former fuck buddy and you,” he pointed to Vegeta. “nothing more than a ghost?”
We both kind of looked at him with blank stares.
“What exactly is your plan might I inquire?”
Again, blank stares.
“Ok, let me just, for the sake of entertainment, lay this all out for you,” he said in a smart ass tone. “You’re going up against the greatest known evil in the universe. Limitless power, limitless control, LIMITLESS good looks,”
Vegeta glared at him.
“And you’re going to do what?” he asked. “Throw stones at him? Hell, if you’re lucky, you just might give him a little bruise before you’re pulverized. And you’re a lot better Vegeta, soon, your power will be fading just as rapidly as ever. You know you can’t sustain form on this planet so while this poor schmuck thinks you two are going into battle together, the most good you’ll do is be in the peanut gallery cheering him on while he gets his ass beat.”
“Hey, wait a second,” I tried to intervene. “What does he mean Vegeta?”
“It doesn’t matter,” He growled. “he’s right. We need a plan.”
He turned peevishly to Zarbon, the pretty barer of bad news.
“What would you suggest?”
“Oh honey, I thought you ‘d never ask,” Smiled Zarbon. “I’d suggest you both follow me. Now there’s nothing I can do for you Vegeta, you’re more like trying to help out a gust of wind.”
He received a very trite “hmph!” to that comment.
“But you,” I was suddenly faced with his gorgeous golden eyes. “I can make you more powerful then you’ve ever dreamed. I can release every pent up strength and unlock every amount of your potential with mere words. I’ve seen the alternate universes in which the devil doesn’t come to intervene, and believe me, you have unlimited amounts of potential. I can also give you curses and spells and-..”
“Oh and just how are you going to pull all that off, might I ask, Houdini?” Spat Vegeta. “Stop filling his head with nonsense you pompous pretty boy. Don’t get his hopes up.”
“Well!” Zarbon snapped, throwing his braid of hair behind his back. “while YOU may have spent your time on earth doing unpractical, illogical crap, I spent my evenings in that horrible little magic shop, IF YOU RECALL. I did my homework, got a little reading up done. Besides, an old woman, riding on her magic ball came in constantly, and NOT surprisingly, found me absolutely charming. She taught me a few things here and there and I’m obliged to pass them on. DO you have a problem with that Vegeta?”
Vegeta only grunted in response.
“Why would you help us?” I asked, staring into his eyes as though powerless to stop.
“Why wouldn’t I?” He huffed. “You think I want to see this world blown to shit? Then what would I do for entertainment? Hold conversations down in Hell with Mr. Personality over there? I think not.”
“Amen,” said Vegeta. “Let’s get this done.”
With a smile, Zarbon led us both down to the ground.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Over an hour later, we emerged with the single goal. To find the devil, destroy him and save Bulma.
“Are we sure we’re up to this,” Zarbon asked solemnly, apparently having lost his spunk in the moment of actually having to face the devil.
“Absolutely,” I answered. And for once, I genuinely meant it.
“One more thing,” Vegeta asked, staring forwards. I was barely there, looking ahead and trying to ascertain what sort of challenge I was up against. “Kakarot, listen to me!”
I was yanked from my trance by his harsh tone, staring into his eyes.
“Kakarot, did he give ANYONE you know a ring?”
“W-why?” I demanded, my blood running cold.
“Just answer me.”
“Yes,” I stuttered. “My son. Gohan.”
He closed his eyes, shaking his head as if frustrated.
“Why Vegeta?!” I insisted, grabbing his shoulders. “Why does it matter? What’s that thing going to do to Gohan?”
Zarbon groaned, irritated with Vegeta’s silence.
“They’re like his little toys,” He sighed. “Anyone he gives those damn rings is basically his. He’ll use them for whatever purposes he wants and they’re completely brain washed. They love him blindly and ceaselessly.”
Noticing my horrified look, he reassured me.
“But he’s not lost Kakarot,” He insisted. “If you can defeat him, Gohan will be free again. And if not, well, it won’t matter anyways.”
I nodded, accepting this as more incentive for what I must do.
“Let’s go.” Shrugged Vegeta.
We flew, my heart racing, my stomach tied in knots. I had a new sense of actually being able to pull this off though I in all actuality, had no idea what I was truly up against. When they say unlimited power, it’s a vocabulary word seldom taken seriously. Everything has a limit. Everything has a boundary. Until you’re, of course, facing the devil himself, then all bets are really off.
I suddenly could see him in my mind, not as a man, not in Vegeta’s body, but as the monster from my dreams. He laid down in the orgy of bodies, entangled with naked limbs and throbbing pelvises. He was smiling up at me, horns protruding from his scalp, teeth as sharp as razors and massive barbed wire tattooing covering his arms and the middle of his chest.
It had all become so clear to me and now I was faced with the madness that I hadn’t noticed it was him before. The shadows were cleared and his beauty revealed to me, grotesque and horrifying as I found him this way. I was suddenly so drawn to him, feeling my body drift towards his.
We could be together, just one last time…..
Ah yes, I knew what I wanted. It was the same as always and there was no use to this senseless fighting. I was his and that was how it had to be. The closer I came to being with him, the warmer it grew, the harder to resist and the less I tried to. ‘Hold me,’ I tried to say. ‘love me, fuck me, anything’.
I finally formed the words aloud, reaching to touch his face, to feel his teeth graze over my fingertips.
“Yes,” I whispered. “love me, my beautiful monster.”
“Hold him Vegeta!” Someone was crying and I nodded with a smile. Precisely what I was thinking. “Shake him for God’s sake we’re losing him!”
“I can’t!” Came the harsh, accented voice of the former Saiyan Prince. “I’m fading!”
“Damn it, if we lose him now Vegeta,” screamed Zarbon, “then we lose him for good.”
But I didn’t care for this nonsensical blather of the outside world. I was almost there, my arms outstretched to hold him, to be gathered against his lips and feel his whispers against my throat. ‘Love, love, love.” He seemed to be breathing over and over again. “I can love you.”
And I wanted him to. Love me, purely, impurely, whatever the case. Just love. Yes. Love me everywhere.
“FUCK!” Cried Vegeta, a hand knocking my head sideways. “Wake up! He doesn’t love you! Kakarot! He can’t!”
I suddenly opened my eyes, the vision of him fading and the horrid coldness of the wind overwhelming me. I felt like I hadn’t been breathing for an hour. Which in fact, I hadn’t been for several minutes. I’d nearly died and bluish tint to my skin proved it.
For good measure, Vegeta slapped me again in the face, though his hand came at me flickering. He was fading as rapidly as Zarbon had informed us he would, his regal face looking pale. The blow he’d sent to me had cost him dearly and he was fading in an out of visibility.
“You can’t,” he breathed hard. “you can’t let him control you. You have to break the swoon he sets over your mind or else we’re doomed. He can’t put ideas and thoughts into your head unless they’re already there. He can’t make something evil that isn’t already. You think all those people that went crazy and killed their own family members did it simply because he told them to? No. He planted the seed to unleash their most hateful desires. He took away the love that inhibited them and thus, they only did what it was in their darkest nature to do. They did what they wanted to.”
“And what of the visions I saw?” I spat. “What of the dreams I was given, watching toddlers kill their own mothers? Watching people kill themselves in my head?!”
“He GAVE you those!” Vegeta cried. “He showed you what was happening so that you were desensitized by it! So that you’d blame yourself, suspect yourself and be easier to control through your own guilt. But you’re STILL innocent Kakarot.”
He looked away, spitting then glancing back at me.
“God STILL loves you, despite what you’ve done and the fact that you can’t forgive yourself. If God’s love was as fickle as ours, none of us would be alive. But it’s not and even the devil hadn’t counted on that. Evil thoughts make evil deeds but that doesn’t necessarily make an evil person. You still have good in you Kakarot, and that’s not something he had counted on. That’s what you must use to defeat him. If you fall under his spell once again, everything you’ve ever loved is lost to us. Use your love of them to fend him off.”
“What if I fail?” I cried, realizing that I’d nearly died only seconds before. “What if he’s just too powerful?”
“Then you fail THEM!” Vegeta spat. “You fail your son, or at least the boy he was before he was taken over by that monster. You fail the world! You fail God! You fail yourself! Are those NOT incentive enough for you to keep this obsession at bay? I KNOW you want him Kakarot!”
I looked at him, embarrassed, ashamed and not denying it.
“I KNOW that you want him because it’s easy to. But I also know you’ve NEVER been the type to take the easiest roads and I’m counting on that to keep us alive through this. You are this world’s only hope now. He calls you a hero, doesn’t he? Now, its time to prove it to him.”
I lowered my head, feeling the soft pads of Zarbon’s fingertips lift it up.
“Reach inside, Kakarot.” He smiled. “You are so much more than what you think. Find the strength from within to do, what it is that you must do. People always do the impossible and this race you’re trying so hard to save has a history of trying the unthinkable and conquering the unbeatable. Their fighting spirit alone can guide you through this and never think that they aren’t worth saving. Catastrophes come and go but the human spirit remains the same.”
I smiled, trying to feel as powerful as their words made me sound.
“Don’t think of this as fighting alone,” Zarbon smirked. “just because me and Vegeta are little help,” a grunt was his counterpart’s response. “doesn’t mean there aren’t people with you.”
He looked up at the blackened sky with a slight grin.
“I think you just might have a talent for encouraging other forms of help.”
“Gah,” grumbled Vegeta. “Enough of these speeches. I’m losing power fast and you may need us later on I suspect. Let’s get there before we lose the sun.”
I watched my shadow cascading over the miles of earth we crossed, flickering over dark ocean waters. It was getting darker and the shadows moved in strange patterns beneath me, crawling like creatures. I felt on edge immediately as we neared the shore, dark spots littering the beaches for as far as I could see.
Bodies of large whales and sharks, trillions of dead fishes and all sorts of ocean life were sprawled out for miles: dead and poisoned by the water. Some still flapped their fins, crying out for life when they’d be denied it. The sounds became unbearable to me, dolphins squealing and flopping around on the sand.
Soon, I could see birds falling from the sky, their wings giving out as they plunged toward the blood covered beaches beneath. Large, small they fell, crashing down on collapsed buildings, splattering on concrete. I wanted to cover my eyes, yet I was entranced with the sight. Like staring at a fatal car wreck, wanting desperately to turn away and yet transfixed on the worst, ugliest parts.
“And he will have in subjection,” Vegeta whispered next to me, “the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth."
We arrived in Vatican Rome, seeing the horrific picture miles before we ever arrived. Thousands of humans were flocking to the same place, covered in blood and soot, their faces indistinguishable from one to the next. They were humming in low, satanic voices, speaking in tongues of demons, their eyes all black. Blood gushed from their eye sockets and they walked like zombies over the bodies of the dead, on a quest to pray beneath Rome’s largest Vatican temple.
I was almost nauseous as I watched the spectacle beneath me, thousands of humans moving like insects upon the ground, falling to their knees the closer we got to the temple. They kneeled on the ground of bodies, raising their hands and bowing over and over again to the enormous temple St. Peter’s Basilica that had once been beautifully white architecture and was now overgrown with shadows and monstrous statues.
“I can’t do this,” I whispered, overwhelmed by the evil that lurked like a creature in the air. It was so thick, I could almost feel it touching the outside of my body. Like tiny parasites desperately trying to break in. I’d never been so fearful in all my life. I feared for my eternal soul rather than just the fragile body I inhabited.
Still, I felt the uncanny pull of someone summoning me upwards and I knew immediately who it was. I silently closed my eyes, willing my body to go in the right direction and ignoring the wretched scenes beneath me.
It was as though the sky was on fire, a rolling blood red color with black clouds stretching across it. Everything looked so bleak and dark that even the sun seemed to cast shadows on the world beneath. It was the end of the world. The apocalypse. The final Armageddon and I had front row seats.
I landed on the highest tower of the temple, walking inside a large balcony and seeing him sitting in a large, throne-like chair. He seemed so at ease about it all, leaning back lazily into his chair and smoking a cigar nonchalantly.
“I thought you boys must have gotten lost or something,” He said calmly, his voice intertwined with a darker, more raspy tone. “You never know these days. Ahhh… Vegeta,” He smiled. “Now this is an unexpected pleasure. I’m surprised to see you here rather than in Hell where you’re supposed to be, ruling your half of it and all.”
He got to his feet, sending quivers up my spine as I stepped back. Now, I felt alone, as I stared at him, trying to recall all the good words they’d given, all the advice I must take. And yet, all I could do was stare at his body, at the contours of his face and think only that I wanted him more than I cared for this life. He wore tight black leather for pants, showing off every delectable curvature of his frame, sending my mind visions of past times. A tight wife beater hugged every muscle structure like a lover, complimenting every single inch that I’d kissed and adored.
Was it wrong to be jealous of a shirt? I felt the tug of Vegeta’s finger pulling at my long sleeved shirt, but I ignored him completely. I was sharing a moment with the devil and in that moment, I felt the calmness and completeness only he could give me. We had connected eyes, as if sharing a secret conversation. Only he could love me, I thought. For what I am, who I am. Only he could ever appreciate me. Am I ready to give all that up for a pitiful, doomed world full of selfish, money hungry simpletons?
I was so much more than that, didn’t I see it? I was so beautiful, so innocent, so much better than these creatures I fought for. I saw myself suddenly through his eyes, my gorgeous brown sweater, holding tightly to my body, my own pair of black leather pants. Beautiful. The word repeated over and over in my head. Perfect.
Mine.
I shook my head, casting off his barrowed thoughts. I wasn’t perfect and I certainly wasn’t his!
He stared at me, the slightest hint of surprise contorting his breath taking features. He had been feeding me thoughts and images and he was genuinely shaken that I had thrown them from my mind. The moment was over and I felt the coldest I had ever felt in my life. Like a part of my body was being taken from me and I was left alone for the first time in years.
“Is that what you want?” He asked me, his calming voice creeping over my senses like water. “To be alone like this? Cold, alone and caged? Or rather, would you be with me for an eternity? See the things only I can show you, be what only my power can create! Immortality is yours with but one word, Kakarot. Forget these fools and their pitiful ideas that poison your mind. I can make you as happy in the future as you have been in our moments together.”
I was flooded with more images of past experiences. They weren’t just thoughts but also feelings that attacked my nerve systems and awoke the desire in me once again. All the times we’d fallen into this sin together, all the nights of orgies and sex and drugs. Didn’t I want that all again? That contentment? That happiness? Wasn’t it all worth it?
‘You will never grow old,’ I heard him saying in my mind. ‘You will never be poor, you will never feel pain. You will never be like them. I can give you what nothing in this lifetime can. I can make you beautiful forever.’
“Why did you choose this place?” Asked Zarbon, temporarily freeing my mind of him. He was buying me time, begging me to compose myself and put away this attachment to evil.
“Why not choose this place?,” The devil replied, walking to the balcony window. “The house of God Himself!”
He raised his arms, knocking on the wall.
“Huh. Now isn’t it predictable that no body’s home? My my, wouldn’t the kiddies be thrilled to know that.”
“Stupidity!,” snapped Vegeta, his form barely visible. “You mock God? Surely even you would realize the futility in that. You alone have seen what NONE of us have and you would mock God to his very face?! You are a FOOL!”
“And why not?!” Came Satan’s booming voice, the walls around me bending and shaking with the pressure. “Have you seen Him? Has He stopped by?! His very pope prays at my feet, pledging his life to MY cause! Forgive me if I don’t see your argument.”
“You’re abusing your place, Satan,” Vegeta continued. “God will NOT tolerate-..”
“And just where do you fit into the picture at all anyways, Vegeta,” Satan asked, turning to the area where the Prince flickered occasionally. “You’re both really quite expendable and right now……?”
He gathered his power, the walls seeming to shift and the wind pulling me towards him.
“You’re obsolete!”
With a wave of his hand, I felt the forces of Vegeta and Zarbon swept away for miles, their cries heard seconds later from far away. I felt as lonely now as ever, staring after them and praying against hope that they might return.
“Forget them,” he told me, reading my thoughts. We were alone now and he circled me like his prey. “they couldn’t be of any use to you anyways. And you’ll have to forgive my abrasive behavior Kakarot, you seem to have caught me at a busy moment.”
“Where’s Bulma?” I asked, finally finding the strength to speak.
“Ohh,” he gestured nonchalantly. “Forget all that, I have something I want to show you. Something drastically interesting that I figure you just might appreciate.”
He led me through a pair of double doors, the shape of a woman hidden beneath the sheets of an enormous bed.
“I told you I’d been busy,” He smirked.
“Bulma!” I yelled, trying to run quickly to the form of the woman. “What have you done to her?!”
Tearing off the sheets, I was met by a sight that made my blood run cold and my heart turn to rock. Chi Chi sat up, naked and covering herself with the thin sheets.
“Didn’t I tell you, Kakarot,” came his vicious laughter. “Bulma’s right here.”
He held the heiress in front of himself, blood on her t-shirt from when he’d abducted her.
“Goku,” Bulma cried, tears streaking down her cheeks. “Goku, I am SO sorry!”
But for once, I was completely ignorant of all that she was saying, instead, staring down at my wife whose arm was still in the cast and whose brown eyes bore powerfully into mine. There weren’t words between us and I knew there probably never would be again. Her eyes seemed blank, reaction-less. As if she was sleeping. I was speechless, trying to swallow down the fury.
“I’ve got to hand it to you buddy,” Came his horrid laughter, his hand crouching upon my shoulder. “You’ve got yourself one Hell of a fighter there. She screams like a banshee and screws like one too. Quite the combo when we were fucking…”
I turned away, stomping out of the room.
“….in your bed.”
I stopped, the anger penetrating every inch of my mind, rotting all my morals and self control. I’d never felt so much hate in all my life.
“Oh, don’t tell me you’re surprised, Kakarot!” He was laughing, pulling my face into his lips. “I told you didn’t I?” I felt his mouth upon my cheek, whispering the treacherous words. “I’ve always wondered what it’d be like to fuck that pretty pink pussy.”
I still turned away from him, choking on my anger, trying to hold it down within me before it exploded into insanity. I began walking away, not sure where I would go or what I would do, but leaving.
“She gives marvelous head too,” He yelled, taunting me. Trying to bring out the rage that was poisoning my heart. “That’s one part you never mentioned. Your wife could teach lessons in it, maybe even give you a few pointers.”
Bulma gasped, covering her mouth and staring in disbelief at me. I felt caught in headlights.
“Well go on, hero,” He laughed, throwing his arms out to the side. “Here’s your big chance for absolution! Here’s your big chance to tell them!”
He grabbed Bulma’s face, pushing her cheeks together and making her stare at me.
“Tell her Kakarot! Tell her JUST HOW MUCH you LOVE… HOT, HARD, THROBBING CO-..”
I threw my fist under his chin, knocking him through the wall. He landed on the bed, directly beside Chi Chi who screamed in horror, covering herself. She stared into my eyes, seeing the raw fury burning within them. It was almost like she was seeing me for the first time, her eyes clearing and confusion taking over.
“Goku, I’m….” She stammered, looking next to her in disbelief. It was as though she didn’t even recognize him, covering herself in embarrassment. “I’m sorry, I….. I didn’t know! I don’t….. I don’t know why I…..”
“Ohh, why sure you do!” the monster laughed, grabbing a fistful of her hair. She cried out in pain, and though I wanted to move, it was like my feet were frozen to the floor an unnatural power holding me in place. Blood came from his mouth, spilling down upon the white sheets. “You see my dear, you and your husband seem to have a passion for the same thing, right Kakarot?!”
“Chi Chi,” I said as calmly as I could, gesturing for her to calm down. “Don’t believe a word he says.”
“And why not?!” he cut in, climbing off the bed and earning a few screams from the two women. His eyes were burning with intensity and for a moment, I was certain he was stark raving mad. The unpredictability was the worst part and with every sudden gesture or movement, the women cried out in fear.
“Why not?! Since this IS the time for explanations, is it not?” He raised his arms out and spun in a circle. “Come on folks! The big ending! When all loose ends are tied up and bound! When all those dirty little secrets you’ve been hiding are revealed! It’s your big chance!”
We all sat silent, terror filling my heart as I knew as clearly as anything that what was about to commence would be quite possibly the worst experience of my life. I knew it would be horrifying and wretched but I simply didn’t know to what extent he would go to in order to scare me into submission.
“You’re all cowards,” he sighed, sitting directly next to Chi Chi and putting his arm around her. By now, she was sobbing uncontrollably, staring into my eyes and pleading that I do something. He lit a cigarette, blowing the smoke into my wife’s face and grinning as she coughed and choked.
“Chi Chi,” I swallowed, trying desperately to walk. “just stay calm ok? Don’t move.”
“You know what I was thinking?” The devil said smoothly, taking a drag of his cigarette. “How correct Vegeta had been when he called her an Amazon down in Hell. What a word huh? Makes you think.”
He suddenly got up, moving to the other side of the room and pulling a large knife from a cabinet. The women screamed and yet, still I struggled to remain calm, believing he was just trying to scare us.
“Now get this,” He was saying, the cigarette dangling from his lips. “not many people actually KNOW what being an Amazon Woman means. Now catch this Kakarot, you’ve probably never heard it. The Amazons,” he clicked the knife on his palm over and over again. “were a group of women, way way back when or whatever, that had just the STRANGEST rituals and ideas that you’ve ever heard of. Did you know, that they used to actually CUT off one breast so that they could more easily use a bow and arrow?”
He sat again by Chi Chi, her eyes following the knife as she cried. The smoke drifted into her eyes and she began to shake, trying so hard not to scream out in fear. I was almost in tears myself, if it had been possible at the time, desperately trying to move.
“Now, what do you think of that?” He asked her, smiling sweetly as he kissed her forehead. “Just the strangest thing, don’t you agree?”
Chi Chi could only sob, terrified of his touch.
“Answer me!” he screamed into her ear, holding her by the back of the neck. She was staring into his unnatural face, quivering as I’ve seldom seen a person do, in mortal terror of him.
“I DON’T KNOW!” She bawled. “I don’t know!”
“Well,” he said with a smile, glancing up towards me. “What better way to find out?”
Before I’d even seen the movement, blood was slung across the room and spattered on the wall, the knife in his hand dripping with it over his palms.
“No!” I screamed, falling to my knees. “NO!”
He flung the knife onto the bed, standing up and walking over to make himself a drink.
Chi Chi’s face was the picture of horror, her eyes staring down at her missing breast, her screams shaking the walls. Blood was gushing down her lap, pouring out everywhere until it was all I saw. She threw her hand over the hole, trying to stop the blood that literally pumped through the cracks in her fingers.
Bulma had burrowed her face into her lap, crouching on the floor as her shoulders trembled with every shriek that came from Chi Chi’s mouth. She was rocking back and forth crazily, refusing to look up.
“Oh my God,” She was crying repeatedly. “God, please save us. Please God!”
He stood up, blood covering half of his face, Chi Chi’s screams becoming quieter and quieter as she began to die from blood loss. She could only look in disbelief at her breast that lay on the bed, picking it up and holding it in her hand before vomiting all over herself.
I knelt on the floor, banging my fists into the marble beneath, unable to move towards her, unable to comfort her.
“Chi Chi,” I breathed. I reached my hand towards her, wanting her to take it. Wanting her to touch it. But she only looked over at me, collapsing on the bed in death.
I couldn’t utter a word as he just stared into my eyes, coming closer and closer. His eyes burned iridescent purple and green, unnatural colors and most times, I would have found them beautiful. But now as he stood only about an inch from me, his gorgeous face staring into mine, I hated him. I saw only death in his face, only blood on his hands.
“Now you know how serious I am,” He said in a dark voice.
