The Straw-bat Snake

A Snake thought to live Only in the mountainous regions of 3 japanese islands. Honshu , Kyoshu , and Shikoku . These are in the Korean penninsula and it is believed to be possible live in New Guiea also.

It is Said to be about 2 to 3 feet in length , have a Chesnut tree flower-oder. and have a rusty color , with an orange belly.

It is highly venomous and can squirt its venom at its victims.

the abnormal part about this snake is its ability to slither in a straight line instead of the normal slithering motion.

it is also a good swimmer and can leap out of the water.

it has also been reported to have the ability too roll its self in a hope and roll down a hill.

in the 1950's fiel worker M.kyuzo was working in Hashamotto when he saw a large black object roll down the hill and into the water he made it to the water in time to see it unravel and spring into the water.

In june of 1969 , M.Tokutake , encountered this snake , it flashed its teeth at him and sprung at him , he killed the snake with a forked stick , he kept it for awhile then he ate it , and he made a comment about this snakes double backbone.
