The bleakest role of Manson came in 1999 when he was made the scapegoat of the Columbine High School Shootings. I have read that after the ordeal he hardly left his home for almost three months. That year The Last Tour On Earth Live album was released as he did not finish the tour. Everyone seemed to turn against him and he almost gave up on his music career but chose to fight back. The result of this was released in November 2000, Holywood and it is to some people the darkest album he had released. In some stores it was banned or in others the cover was changed so that Manson on the front being cruci-fied wasn't on it as religous groups thought it was offensive. Although it got to a disappointing No.13 in America is still amazing and succesfully ended the trilogy that started with Antichrist Superstar.
