Welcome to Sunnydale (again)
"Mulder do we really
have to go to..." There's a pause as Dana Scully flipped open her
notebook. "Sunnydale?"
"Yes." Mulder replied. "That town is the paranormal capital of
the world." Scully rolled her eyes. "Numerous vampire sightings,
demon sightings, and a high school blew up."
"Mulder." Scully sighed.
"Plus the death rate used to be really hgh but then someone named Buffy
Summers moved there and the death rated suddenly dropped. Plus everytime
something weird happens one group of people are always there." He said
leaning back putting his hands behind his head.
"So you think that this group of people are responsible for the paranormal
things happening?" She asked. "No I think they prevent them."
"Dawn time to get up." Buffy yelled up the stairs. "You have
school today." "No I don't it's a snow day." A muffled voice
came from upstairs."
"Dawn we don't get snowdays we live in California remember?" It
doesn't snow here." Buffy said putting her hands on her hips.
"Sure it does remember Christmas Eve a couple of years ago?"
"Yeah but that was a fluke." An exasperated Buffy said.
"OK OK I'm coming."
Buffy sighed she had already broken two bowls and burned the pancakes. Could
this day get any worse?"
Angel squinted at the sun coming throught the slot in the blacked out
windshield. He was going back to Sunnydale, back to where Buffy was. He still
loved her but what kind of life coould he give her? A life of pain and
unfullfilled desires. He drummed his finger against the steering wheel and
glance back at a sleeping Cordy and Fred. He sighed.
Riley stepped out of the helicopter. "Come on." He urged.
"I'm coming I'm coming." Sam muttered. *Great Sunnydale and Buffy
Summers.*
Pike stopped his motorcycle right next to the welcome sign. "Home Sweet
Home of Buffy Summers." He grinned and drove past into town.
Robyn Wood drove past the Sunnydale welcome sign and a young man on a
motorcycle. He wondered if the new Slayer would be like his mother or would she
be different?" He hoped she would be like his mother.
Pike stopped at the Summers residence he got off his motorcycle and walked up
the drive. He rang the doorbell a man with platinum blonde hair answered the
door. Pike looked him up and down he was shirtless and his jeans were
unbuttoned. "I'm looking for Buffy Summers." Pike asked.
"And who might you be." Spike asked.
'Pike Andrews. I'm here to see Buffy Summers." "Yeah I got that part.
But what makes you think that I'd let you see her?"
"Spike who is it?" Buffy came down the stairs wearing a bed sheet wrapped
around her body she walked over and wrapped her arms around Spike and kissed
his neck.
"Hi Buffy 'member me?" Pike said.
"Pike!" Buffy squealed running and wrapping her arms around Pike. "Oh
my God what are you doing here?" She asked.
"I came to see you of course." Pike answered.
"You wanna come in?" Asked Buffy.
'No I've got things do to but maybe we can meet up later."
"Yeah we can go to the Bronze."
Pike's brow furrowed. "The Bronze?"
"Yeah it's a cool club." Buffy gave him directions and they said
their goodbyes.
Buffy closed the door after him. "Now where were we?" She said
walking over to Spike and wrapping her arms around him. She trailed kisses down
Spike's jaw. He growled and threw her on the couch.
"Okay Mulder what do we do now?" Scully asked.
"Well I figured that we get some sleep and then hit the Bronze."
"The Bronze?" Asked Scully.
"A local hangout for kids." Mulder answered.
"Teeragers?" Scully asked Mulder he nodded.
"You know your old when you call teenagers kids." She remarked
walking over to her side of the room.
"Hey I'm not that old. I;m about the same age as you are." Scully
looked at him threateningly.
"Or not." Mulder said hastily.
Scully sighed and plopped herself down on the bed. "Couldn't you have
gotten two rooms Muider?"
"This was the last one. And we're lucky it has two beds."
"Yeah lucky." Sculiy muttered.
A hand came out of the ground and gripped the grass digging it's fingers in
pulling the rest of the body out. A head appeared and the person took in deep
breaths of air. It grunted and pulled the rest of itself out of it's grave. It
stood up and brushed itself off looked around and noticed the gravestone. It
knelt down and squinted in the dark trying to read it. It traced it's finger
over the letters. Jennifer Calander 1963 to 1997. She gasped and cover her
mouth with her hand.
Buffy danced across the floor with Xander. "The music is really loud
tonight." She shouted.
"Huh?" Xander yelled.
"I said the music is really loud!" She yelled back.
"HUH?" Xander shouted. "The mu... Never mind." She shook
her head.
Mulder and Scul!y entered the building.
"5o this is The Bronze." Scully shook her head. "Not exactly my
idea of a good time."
"Lighten up 5cully. C'mon lets ask around and see if anybody knows this
Buffy?"
"Yeah! Yeah! God this Music is loud." She commented.
"What!" Mulder yelled.
Buffy took a sip of her drink she smiled when Xander came and sat down beside
her. "Hey wanna dance again?" He asked.
"Yeah sure." Buffy answered. He took her hand and led her out to the
dance floor she started to move with him when she saw Spike glaring at her from
across the dance floor she smiled and kept on dancing with Xander he scowled. She
smiled at Xander and excused herself. She made her way over to Spike.
"What the bloody hell do you think your doing dancing with the
whelp."
Buffy crossed her arms. "So I can't dance with my friends?"
Spike glared at her. "No you can't!"
"Don't tell me what to do." She shot back.
"I'll bloody well tell you to do whatever I want." He replied.
"Besides you really like it." Buffy blushed.
"Shut up!You're disgusting."
"Don't tell me your not thinking about putting your hands on this hot
tight little bod." He smirked. Just then there was a tap on Buffy's
shoulder.
"Excuse me Miss Summers?" Buffy turned around and smiled.
"Yes?"
"Agents Mulder and Scully we need to talk with you."
"What for?" Buffy asked confused. The last time the F.B.I. came here
was when Marcie the invisi girl went on a rampage.
"We just need to ta..." Mulder trailed off staring at a girl wearing
complete black with blue spikes on her head.
"We would like to have a word with you." Scully said taking Buffy's
arm.
"Am I in trouble?" Buffy asked letting the female agent lead her over
to an empty table.
"No trouble whatsoever." Mulder said following Scully.
"Then why do you want to talk to me?" Buffy asked taking a seat.
"Well you see my partner here thinks that vampires actually exist." Scully
began.
"Vamps you slay 'em or not?" Mulder asked leaning in towards Buffy.
"Vamps?!" Buffy laughed glad that she had taken those acting classes
when she lived in L.A.
"Seriously? You think that vampires exist and that I slay them?!"
Mulder nodded his head. "Yup."
"And why would you think that?" Buffy asked inwardly cringing hoping
that they wouldn't see that she was lying.
"Because everytime something bad goes down you and your friends are
there." Mulder said pulling out a chair and sitting down.
"Uh huh." Buffy said trying to surpress a giggle. "And the rest
of this town most slay these vamps too?"
Mulder looked surprised. "No only you."
"I got news for you honey this whole town turns out whenever something
weird happens. Like last week this gang came in and started trashing
everything." She stopped and looked thoughtful for a moment. "Well
maybe not that time, they were trashing the whole town so... And as for vamps
existing I think that you need to get your head checked. Maybe see a
pychiatrist?"
"That's what I've been telling him." Scully said grabbing her purse
eager to get out of there.
"No! I'm sure that they exi...." He trailed off staring at the black
clad man standing in front of him.
"These two bothering you?" Spike asked stepping over and giving Buffy
a quick peck on the lips.
"No." She said leaning in for more.
"We should probably go." Scully said standing up and grabbing Mulder
by the ear.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow." He said letting her drag him behind her.
"So pet you'll never guess who I saw." Spike said sitting down and
reaching over to take Buffy's hand.
"Who?" She asked intwining her fingers with his.
"Captain Cardboard your ex. He was getting onto a helicopter."
"Riley was here?" Buffy asked gripping Spike's hand a little harder.
"Yeah but he's gone now." Spike said motioning for a waitress.
"I love you." Buffy said bringing his hand up to her lips and kissing
it.
"I love you too." Spike said leaning over the table and giving her a
sound kiss on the lips.
"It's too bad that I didn't get to meet Buffy." Sam said snuggling
against Riley's shoulder.
"Yeah I bet you would have liked her." Riley said bringing his hand
up to stroke her hair. "But duty first."
"Yeah." Sam said snuggling even closer.
>hr> Pike took one last look at the Welcome to Sunnydale sign and took
off. He didn't have to hang around hereanymore. Buffy had someone she didn't
want him anymore. He sped off into the night.
Robyn Wood skulked in the shadows watching BufFy with that thing. The thing
that had taken his mother away from him. He turned and walked quietly towards
the exit. Someday he would get that vamp someday soon.
The End
