For the Man who is My Father
The fates are so cruel, and yet they have been kind.
To have known you as I did, and know you as I do.

To have loved you as you once loved me, now no more than a passing emotion of a fleeting moment.

Time heals all wounds, but to forget takes an eternity.

To trust you as I once did is impossible.
To love you as I once did, is all too painful
To remember what we once meant to each other; the sacred unbreakable bond we shared.
To reminisce on such a thing, to remove my soul and throw it into the darkest of places.

For now, my heart longs to hear your voice.
But my mind wishes you gone from memory.

My heavenly father now foever stands in your place; And I shall forever remain in his glorious hands.

Never more shall I hear your remorse, your disdain for my existence.
For which has caused me such seemingly endless pain.
