We did it. The car is finally race ready and
we are going to make it to the first Devil's Bowl
Speedway practice on May 13, 2000. There is some
speculation that defending CVRA overall modified
champion Don Scarbrough will not be competing this
year. Even though he has reserved his car number and
pit license, he has not made any apprearances at the
Albany-Saratoga Speedway this spring. Check www.cvra.com for all the
current news.

March 16, 2000
News from CVRA website: Hobby Stocks at the
Bowl will now have a B-Main. With the growth
in the Hobby Stock class last year, there
were several nights that over 27 cars started
in the feature. This year only 18 cars will
qualify for the main event. Points will be
awarded to all cars that do not qualify for
the feature.
The Green Mountain Motorsports Show will be
held on March 17-19 at the Diamond Run Mall
in Rutland, VT.

January 24, 2000
The new garage is now built and we have our own
warm and dry place to keep the car and
get to work on the 2000 season. We plan on
having the car at Diamond Run Mall again this
Spring for the car show in March. Hope to see
you there!

September 30, 1999
It took most of the season, but we finally
got our feature win on Labor Day in the
25-lap main event. It was a hard fought
race, and our thanks to Jack Swinton for a
good clean run. Congratulations also to
Chuck Knowlton on his 1999 Hobby Stock
Championship. We finished third in the final
overall standings.

May 23, 1999
We scored a seventh place finish in our
first 1999 outing. It was a little
disappointing as Donnie was fighting for
the lead when a tire got cut down, but a
call to our pit crew, who were able to
change the tire without losing a lap.
We were very encouraged by the way the
car was running and handling.

May 7, 1999
We blew a motor right in the shop this
week. A tough break this close to the
beginning of the season, but we still
have our backup motor ready to go, and
enough parts to begin assmbling a new
backup motor. Hopefully, this means we
are getting all of our bad luck out of
the way before racing starts. The car
is ready for open
practice next Sunday, 5/16. Hope to see
you there!

A Happy Easter birthday to our daughter
Katelyn, who turned 4. Happy Birthday
today to Donnie, who is now all of 27.

March 21, 1999
We placed third in hobby stock class at
the Green Mountain Motorsports Show.
There was just an outstanding turn-out
of people to support the show.

March 15, 1999
We have a new Regal for this
season. Construction is not yet
complete, but the car will be at the
Motorsports Show at the Diamond Run Mall
in Rutand, VT. Look for new lettering
scheme.
