Comments: Patrick, Tears welled up in my eyes as a lump grew in my throat that I could not swallow, preventing me from reading aloud the poem that you had written for your father. As I grieved with you, I managed to smile as I realized the beauty that you will always have in your heart because of your father's ever presence in your life.
I signed your guest book but I'm not sure it went thru because when I
clicked on submit, it gave me an error message.
I am enjoying the exploration of your pages... they are well done and
extremely beautiful... |

Comments: Hi Patrick, I just read your poems about your father. You were truly blessed to have had such a wonderful person to guide you through part of your life. My last poem, "When You Were Here," was written about my mother's passing. She died suddenly on August 27, 1994, so my family and I were not able to be there with her. The fact that I could not say goodbye to her or tell her one last time how much I loved her or give her one last kiss has haunted me for years. Writing this poem about her let me honor the wonderful gifts of love, strength and wisdom she left for me and my family. She was a truly remarkable woman and I thank God that He blessed me by giving me such a wonderful mother. I tried to word the poem so that it would apply to others who have lost a loved one, rather than have meaning just for me. To give hope to those who are grieving serves as the purpose for my poem. We all have had, will have, or are now having pain that we must endure in our lifetime. I hope God will continue to give me the strength to use my words to help others. May God comfort you in your sorrow. |

Comments: A good friend recommended this wonderful site to me. You can be sure I have bookmarked it and will pass it on to many more friends. I have only skimmed the surface of all that you offer here. I love your choice of music that goes with each page. Your poems are breathtaking. I'm also a poet of sorts. I write poetry to family and friends for my own pleasure. I'm 74 years old, so you see your fans are of all ages. I especially liked your tribute to your dad. I'm sure he smiles down on you each time some one reads it. Thanks and I will certainly be back often. There is so much to see here. |
