Our game is a heavy social and psychological experience. Our focus is on our characters and how they personal plots interact. There's no script since the players drive the story.
For this to work, you must constantly be acting and reacting with the other characters. A good idea is to pair off with someone and learn as much as you can about them. The information you discover can be invaluable. In order to be successful, everyone must actively and regularly contribute. These are the requirements for all our members. They're simple. All members must regularly attend our games and uphold our style of play. Members should also regularly create and participate in discussions on our message board. These discussions should try to stimulate ideas on how to improve our game. Players must have their own goals. If every character has their own plot, all these plots mixing together will create a story on its own. So the role of the player is to attend all our games, to constantly role-play with other players, and to only interact with as many NPC's as needed. If a player or the Chat unexpectedly crashes, wait a few minutes. If someone cannot make it back, their character received a page or summoning and had to unexpectedly rush off. If they return, they can say everything was taken care of. Also, if the player or chat unexpectedly crashes, an out of the ordinary event occured that split up the battle. From a character fleeing, to even a thick storm brewing in the said area. Character Crossing - While discussion outside the game cannot be prevented, if you do participate in it just be conscious of its effect. While everyone wants to know what they missed in a previous game, be considerate that some information may be a spoiler. It may not be for you, but it could be a spoiler for them. There's quite a difference between giving away the story versus enticing someone with just enough information that they want to be sure to make it to the next game. But, at the very least, please remember the difference between what you know and what your character knows. You may know some interesting tidbit and unless your character learned that for themselves, they don't know it. Above all, though, have patience and fun.
