Finally, the long awaited website for Channel Belait has been completed. After lots of work and discussion, this homepage stands out as what it is today. Channel Belait was registered on November 9, 1997 by a few users from Channel Brunei and from other channels as well. These users are from the Belait District and are mainly Bruneians who are working people and students from Brunei and abroad.

During those times, the users felt that they needed a separate place to chat. Chatting in the other channels seemed to be difficult as the other channels became more and more popular each day and the decency to chat with the other users seemed to be impossible. Through the years, Channel Belait has grown into a small cyber community center for the young and old from Belait and from the other parts of Brunei and the world. Here, they meet and chat with each other, not knowing who they are, or how they look, thus bonding a friendship among themselves.

Regardless of age, race, gender or nationality, Channel Belait has respected the tradition of mIRC and therefore, opened up the channel to Bruneians as well as others.

This website is a mark for the 3rd Anniversary of Channel Belait formation and establishment.
