Messier, whose contract ran out and became a free agent, was signed by the New York Rangers. He joined Glen Sather but left us! I have to say, I think that's unfair. He should have retired or stayed with us! Now the question is, who is our new captain?
This must have been the most dissappointing year for Canadian hockey lovers. We lost Gretzky to the USA then Sather to the USA and now Messier to the USA. Three of our greatests.
