2003 Swanzey NH Inspection

The 2003 New Hampshire inspection was cold, rainy and conditionally miserably, but amazing. Despite the weather and muddy footing, the friesians showed phenomenally, over sixty horses in all. The judges and runners were very helpful and adjustable, moving from one location to another in an effort to find better footing. Our judges were Arend Mandemaker, Louise D. Hompe, and U.S. apprentice Dennis Gardner. Our runners were, Sijbren Bangma, Age Hoekstra, and Sjoerd Veenstra. The inspectors kindly described the properties and reasons for the placings on some horses, and the runners were very helpful, giving suggestions to the handlers as they walked the horses in their groups and the owners on ways to improve their horse.
There were an estimated 11 fillies, 7 colts, 1 two year old filly for Foalbook, 19 mares for Studbook and Ster, 6 mares for Repeat Star, 11 geldings for Studbook and Ster, 4 stallions for Central Proving, and 2 stallions for Repeat Central Proving.
Unfortunately I do not have many pictures of the geldings, who were shown inside in somewhat poor lighting or the stallions, and what pictures I do have I'll have to scan as soon as I can.
