The Host Server:

The Tyran's Cove, Role Playing Campaign is a FFRPG (Free Form Role Playing Game), hosted on the TalkCity™ and RPGWorlds™ Chat Services. The Established Rules and Regulations of each Chat Service can be viewed by going to www.TalkCity.com or www.RPGWorlds.com. It is Important that our Host Server Guidelines are Followed.   Room Names (I.e. #TyranNights) remain consistant throughout each Server. Only actions that take place within an acknowledged Tyran Room Name, will be honored as legal.

Game Structure:

This Campaign is a FFRPG, meaning Free-Form Role-Play Game. This means the rules are simple, and easy to understand, w/ there being few restrictions on what a Character/Player can and can't do.

Setting:

To Adhere to the FFRPG Structure, the Setting is totally left up to the Player/Character. Anything from Biker Gangs to Powerful Vampiric Clans, to Empires of Chilvary under the Control of a King and Queen are allowed.

Out of Character and In Character:

Out of Character Defined:

Stepping Out of Character refers to the Player of a Character speaking, acting, etc. OOC Conversations should be kept out of the Gaming Rooms, unless the Agreed Theme of the Room is OOC. Keep these OOC Discussions in our Whisper Panel or in a Room Seperate from the Game.

In Character Defined:

In Character refers to the Role Played words, actions, etc. of a Character. You should always remain IC in the Game Rooms.

Mixing Out of Character w/ In Character:

OOC related portions of the Game should never be mixed into the IC portions; and vice versa. Seperation between the Players and Characters should be maintained at all times.

Character Seperation:

C/s (Character Seperation) is defined as the Seperation of Two or More Characters played by the same Player. Characters are to be Played as though they are Two different Beings, Because They Are.

Duplication of Characters:

Cloning one Player's Character is not Acceptable. Once a Character has been Created, the Creator reserves all rights to it. A Character Clone will not be acknowledged by the Campaign.

Character/Player Harrassment:

Players nor Characters are ever subject to unwanted Harrassment. If a Player/Character does not wish to interact w/ another Player/Character then they reserve the right to not have to Interact w/ the Party, making any relations between the two Parties Nulled unless both Parties agree to acknowledge them.

Character Registry:

Before joining or being allowed to Role-Play in the Campaign, you will have to Register your Character. Registry is Simple. Go to the Tyran Message Boards. There will be a Forum where all New Characters will have to Post their arrival into the Land. Once you have Posted your arrival, you are in but not until then can you take active participation in the Role-Play.   If for some reason, you can not effectively make your Post, registering your Character, then you can contact the Post Admins for further assistants. To register a Character, you will have to Post the same information required to currently register your Character (View current Registration Page for a Full List).

Also-There is the character register form on the TyransCove website itself along with Registered Character sheets easily accesible.

Creator Rights:

Anything Created by a Character/Player is theirs. Whether it be a Clan Name or Symbol, another Character, etc; the Creator reserves all rights to his/her Creation and can do with it, as they please, so long as they adhere to the Campaign Rules.

HOWEVER, if and when a Creator disbans their Clan, if they do not actively request to retain all rights to their Symbols at the time of disbanment, then the Symbols become open to anyone else to use, so long as the Name for the Symbols, varies from the previous Creators. A Creator also reserves the rights to pass his/her Rights to a Creation onto someone else. If this occurs, guidelines between the Parties involved can be drawn up and worked out between the parties.   It is always Important that you keep records (I.e. Logs, Posts, etc) that prove your Rights to a Creation. Without proof, nothing can be done to protect your rights.
