Lindsay Dole is a very talented lawyer. So talented that the
DA's office wouldn't mind having her on the team. She was a
young lawyer who had dreams of working in a "blue chip"
big firm. But instead found the law firm of BOBBY DONNELL.
Lindsay has her struggles with her emotions during trials, but never looses site of what is important. She is, next to Rebecca, the firms consience. She has had to prove a lot to people who have slagged her as not being good enough, or a lawyer who is wasting her time with defending criminal offenders. Her probably toughest case of all time would have to be when she defended her proffesor (of law school) when he show and killed a man with five bullets. The same proffessor who told her she had a non loyal job. She tried and tried, even when the judge really hated her.
Her latest case which involved a man who was on the death penalty (New evidence questions...season 4) also showed her determination in getting an innocent man aquittled, even in a short period of time. It was the case, which let Lindsay, for the first time in a long time, really see that her job is worthwhile and is appreciated.
Along with her emotional struggles in her job, also come her emotional hurdles in relationships. Lindsay who is now engaged to Bobbby, and is to be married to him in the fourth season finale, did not always have a smooth journey to find each other. In her ideas to expand and develop the firm, she was straight away accused of performing a power play. Which in turn made Bobby dislike her a lot giving him the idea to broom her. And the accusations didn't stop there. During the third season, when Bobby and Lindsay got back together, Lindsay was once again accused of sleeping with Bobby just so that the firm would have to accept her clients, seeing as though Bobby got two votes on partnership issues, and there were only three other lawyers other than Lindsay. Even before the third season, she had to see Bobby fall for other woman, Ally McBeal, Victoria Keenan and even her best friend ADA Helen Gamble. During the third season Lindsay and Bobby finally got back together.
In the episode "Save the Mule" in season two. It lets the viewers
know that Bobby and Lindsay were having a secret affair. Despite all
these hurdles Bobby and Lindsay have now found comfort in eachother. (And hopefully will stay this way :Þ )
Lindsay is one of the best lawyers in Boston and brings in most of the money for the firm, after ofcourse....Bobby. She is in Bobby's word "The constitution expert".
