In this season pilot Bobby represents a 17 year old female named Rachel Reynolds
who is tried for drug possesion. She is facing a 15 year sentence. When she refuses to
cop a plea, Bobby takes a venturesome approach to defending her. All the while,
Eugene and Ellenor represent a man who frequently exposes himself in public.
Lindsay goes up against her former law proffesor in a case to sue the tobacco
company. Her client is suing the company for causing his wife’s death.
102. "Part II"

The firm is in financial trouble, Bobby accepts a disreputable loan from an old pal.
Eugene represents a woman who wants to get a restraing order against her vicious
husband. All the while, Ellenor looks for love in the personal ads.

Bobby prepares for a civil trial against a man who brutally killed his prior girlfriend,
he also intervenes when he senses adversity as Lindsay continues her battle against

The murder case of Ronald Martin ends with startling results.
Lindsay brilliantly opens the trial against the Tobacco Company, beating her former

makes a strange revelation.

Bobby keeps fighiting the murder case of Dr. Gerald Braun and goes up against an
appalling arbitrator in Rabbi/D.A Asher Silverman. Ellenor gets a date with the
podiatrist whom she has been having a phone relationship with!!!!. Eugene goes to
trial in a case agains a mugger with a track record.....and Lindsay’s purchase of a new
conference table represents more that ..new..furniture
106. "Part VI"

The highly publisized case of Gerald Braun comes to a conclusion, with Bobby
ending the trial stating that his crime was “morally justifiable”. While Eugene
represents a 19 year old who is accused of raping his 14 year old girlfriend.

After this episode, "The Practice" left the ABC schedule for three months, returning
as re-runs on Saturday nights at 10pm in August, and premiering a second season in
that timeslot in September 1997.)

member, which may jeopardize the outcome of their case; Eugene strikes another bet

one-legged thief of a client; and Berluti pushes the envelope to get a huge settlement
for a nine-year-old girl bitten by a rottweiler.
(Note: This was the first of the first season (filming-wise) episodes to be interspliced
with the newer second season episodes of "The Practice" during it's second season.)

job, because he looked like a monkey, and Ellenor gets sued for emotional distress by
George Vogelman...the podiatrist she rejected.

This is the first "Practice" episode aired out of Production order. Why this was done is
not currently known. It could have been the producers decision that this was a
stronger episode or something similar.)
113. "The Pursuit of Dignity"

A former girlfriend of Bobby’s asks for help after she is arrested on prostitution
charges. Lindsay defends a woman who sues her doctor for sewing live maggots into
her leg to prevent infection. All the while, Ellenor and Rebecca represent a young girl
who is to be expelled because of her Tourette’s syndrome outbursts.
(INTERSTING FACT: This episode was shown on ABC more than a year after it was
originally filmed.)
