For a moment the Longchamp contingency looked like they would claim gold in this one as Joe Cayenne slipped through an opening on the rail, passing a game, but tired, High Devil. They only got to savor that taste for a monent though, as they soon saw the oncoming rush of Royal Roo who blew by Joe Cayenne for his dominating win. High Devil held on for the bronze, holding safe the hard closing 3yo Making the Cat.
