Champion Pan Jay

3+ yr old - 10 f on the dirt

ONE THE NAKED REIGNS SUPREME

By- John

The Hades Handicap had alot of questions going in. It looked like a wide open race where anything can happen. When the dust settled though it was my horse ,out of the john4 stable, ONE THE NAKED that crossed the finish line first. I knew going in that he was going to run big, but I never expected this big.

Here is how the race went. The pacesetters going into the first turn were root's LT. VAST, trifecta's MANILLA MINT, and upstate's ORPHAN A.P.. They set a blistering pace. At the halfway point Lt. Vast and Orphan A.P. threw in the towel. PAN JAY, trained by sabalou, closed in on Manilla Mint. At the top of the stretch, the two battled for the lead. That's when ONE THE NAKED, who was as far as 10 1/4 lengths out of it early, started catching the leaders. He flew right by them to win by 2 3/4. Pan Jay beat out Manilla Mint for second by 2 3/4. It was another 12 1/2 lengths back to the tiring fourth place runner Lt. Vast. The rest listed in the order of finish were Phil's Wrists, Down The Jazz, Lord's Bird, Run Buda, Orphan A.P., Skier That Dudes, Their Kingdom, and Colonel Prospector.

One The Naked proved to everybody that he belongs with the best in the sim by earning a 122 speed figure and demolishing the track record, running the 1 1/4 miles in 2:00 1/5. His next start will be in the $1 million dollar Jockey Guild Gold Cup followed by the Breeder's Bowl Classic.

It was a memorable day. One that the whole sim will never forget. Thanks go out to Mike, Ladysecret, Kate, track managers for getting the representatives sorted out, the tipsters, trainers, and last but definitely not the least, the horses themselves!!!
