Olympic Motto

Swifter, higher, stronger

But if, my heart, you wish to sing of contests, look no further for any star warmer than the sun, shining by day through the lonely sky, and let us not proclaim any contest greater than Olympia.

Sojourney of Fleet Filly Beauty

The excitement has been building for some time now for the first ever "Sim Equinics". The weekend of racing that we have all been waiting for has finally arrived. It is indeed an honor to represent your home track at Vermont this weekend and all participants should consider themselves winners for being the chosen representatives. Vermont stable managers have indeed prepared well; security is extremely tight, the track is in excellent condition and the perfect fall weather they ordered is the finishing touch. Of course, the world famous Vermont hospitality abounds everywhere. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves as many of the tracks are throwing great parties all week. I may never see straight again after Minnesota’s party the other night, but had a great time!!

Now that the post positions and jockeys have been drawn, it is time to get down to the business of giving everyone an insight on my race, Hera’s Sojourney! What a great name for a turf sprint and the race shapes up to be just that, great!! Here is a brief rundown of the fillies and mares that will be vying for the Gold Medal, going Six Furlongs on the Firm Turf course.

Post #1 -ANT JESS – Ace has herself a very nice mare. This Delaware mare seems to do well Sprint, routes, turf or dirt. But it seems the dirt surface has been better for her She will be close up but see her about 6th or 5th. Odds 10 - 1

Post #2 -NURSE STORM– California sends one of the three year olds postward, nice filly Some good speed numbers before her claiming race. Her owner really is A bandit if he stole her in the claim. Likes turf and sprints but a little Too tough for her in here. Odds 21 - 1

Post #3 -RUBBERNECKER – New York’s final entry, this six year old mare shows Real talent for sprints and should be closing at the wire. Odds 8 - 1

Post #4 -SLEEZY CAT – Turfstar’s entry has started in the least number of races and should Be fresh, likes turf, sprinting and the lead. Should be close up at start but Seems to lack finish. Could surprise as top Vermont Jockey should help. Odds 11 – 1

Post #5 -ONE SKY – Irelands representative sprint record is 3 for 3. Tell you anything? Green Beer only works for short distances? Obvious favorite with The speed numbers to back it. Did that last race take too much out of her? The one to beat. Odds 5/2

Post #6 -MAINE KINGDOM – Iowa’s three year old filly is in quite tough here and only Three turf races makes it hard to rate. Great Potential in this filly. Odds 29 – 1

Post #7 -BEARLY SHOCK– This Nebraskan older mare will be "winginit" on the front end and will be close at the finish line. Odds 8 – 1

Post #8 -DEADLY GROUND – Minnesota’s one time $2000 claimer has shown she can Hold her own in top allowance company. Likes to obtain the lead but will Be hard in this race. Odds 15 – 1

Post #9 -QUEEN PROSPECTOR – Vermonts local favorite will have the home Crowd on her side. Loves turf, sprints and the lead. Will be close up and Should get a medal. Odds 7 – 1

Post #10 -NEAR FOR BASQUE – This mare from North Carolina loves the turf and the Lead as well. Steady mare her gives her all every race. A win is very Possible in here and speed numbers are quite consistent. Odds 7 – 1

Post #11 -PROJECT ELOCAT – Last 3 year old filly in race is from Sweden and shows great ability on the Turf and sprints. Likes to come from off the pace so should be closing fast but may not make finish line in time. Top finishing 3 year old in race. Odds 10 – 1

Post #12 -HER MOUNT – Being from Nevada seems to do well on dirt, some excellent Speed numbers. Turf experience low but seems that turf and dirt suit. The numbers say she could be close. Odds 6 – 1

Should be an excellent sprint and I am waiting in great anticipation for Saturday. If you are unable to be in Vermont to watch, make sure to read the Sim Racing Form for the recap! Well off to another party as I am sure one is going on somewhere. See you all Saturday in Vermont and Good Luck!
