Olympic Motto

Swifter, higher, stronger

But if, my heart, you wish to sing of contests, look no further for any star warmer than the sun, shining by day through the lonely sky, and let us not proclaim any contest greater than Olympia.

A Wide Open Affair As 12 Horses Go For The Gold

Finally the big day is almost upon us. As I look at this fantastic field, in a day that may even rival the Breeders Bowl, I just hope we don't break all the track records. So lets go right to race, I will go over each horse by Post.

1- Sweet Robin- surfside- VT- 14/1- The host tracks representative, if this horse can keep up the preformance of his last 2 races he may be there. This horse will probably setting the early pace, if the fractions are slow watchout.

2-Alycandle- rkeogh -NY - 36/1- The longest shot on the board. Unless this horse, goes back to his form 20 weeks ago, he may get distanced. I feel he is just in way over his head.

3-Again Sneek- sleworama- IA - 6/1- The #25 ranked horse. Very consistent, this horse seems to run best sitting just behind the leader. If the pace is too slow don't be surprised if he goes to the lead, and at 6/1 may give an excellent return on investment.

4-Colonial Elk (IRE)- varsity- NV- 8/1- This horse is making the move back to the dirt, which looks to be his best surface. His last race at this distance on the dirt earned him a SP of 115. If he gets a fast pace, his late kick may be just enough to earn him the GOLD.

5-Person Roger (IRE)- bird- 5/1- The word around the barn is this horse looks real good in his works. Dropping back in distance for this race, and that may help. Has been coming up short in longer races, and should be tracking just off the pace.

6-Lightning Jest- bgs- NB- 9/1- Has shown the ability to be able to run the needed with these, but on his last few he will need to improve. He may also be going into the early lead.

7-Deputy Gretchen- mindbolt- IRE- 29/1- Another horse that may be in over his head. Will definitely need to run the race of his life to get a piece of the action.

8-Ground Tarbash (GB)- toplight- Longchamp- 9/2- The # 26 ranked horse and the morning line favorite. This horse has seemed to have trouble winning the big race, but is always around at the end. Feel this horse may not win but can definitely hit the board.

9-East Till Bold- supertoy7- MN- 5/1- This horse is stretching out after a series of sprints. Off his last race around 2 turns where he came up a little short, seems to run best just off the pace.

10-One Minstrel- woodlyns- DE- 14/1- Off his last race, one has to wonder if this horse is sound. If he is healthy capable to make a late run. If he is not may finish last.

11-Rapid Ruckus- opinora- NC- 12/1- This lightly raced horse, 6 wins in 10 starts, has shown potential, but again maybe in over head this early in career. Shows he runs best from front and may put pressure on early pace setter, and setting race up for the closers.

12- His Phone- vikingfarms- Sweden- 7/1- Has been running well of late and will be just off the pace. Base on his abilities he could very well be there at the end.

This race is spectacular from top to bottom, and if the Vikings don't try to intimidate the jockey is wide open.

My bet would be, WPS on the 4, key the 4 with the 3,5 in the exacta, and 4 with 3,5 and the 3,5,8,12 in the trifecta. Well, that will do it until Monday. May all your tickets be winning ones, and don't party too hard. You want to be sober on Sat. to place your bets.
