Day 4 - Home, sweet home!

Day 4, Paris, July 1st 2000

Dear Diary !

I must admit it was my idea to take a little longer way and make a tiny stop at a good old german beergarden.. You do right in assuming that the resistance from the rest of the group wasn´t really big. Though my horse HER DANCES would run in the longchamp stakes I just had more important things in mind. He was a bit nervous though and I was afraid he knew he would have to race immediately after this demanding travel... Our guests from australia and the US seemed to like the short trip to the bavarian highlands, especially masterab, who claimed to never have drunken such a good beer. After he had claimed that more often than enough, we helped him on his horse, saw him falling and helped him up again and then headed westwards. It seemed a bit strange, but the horses always needed a little break when we were near a beautiful french winegarden. We gave them the rest they needed... So after half a dozen stops *hiccup* and twice as many accidents with drunken riders falling off their horses, we came over a little hill and could see the Eiffel tower in the distance. We enjoyed that breathtaking view a little and started to gallop. Hakim was a little concerned, since we were quite late already... Luckily we overtook the irish group that would get the equinic flame from us and so we rode by, greeting politely and smiling....
