Labyrinth Blessing Ritual

Writen by Tempest Owlsbard

Purpose:

To bless the labyrinth for future spiritual use.

Tools Needed:

Stick of incense, small candle, cupof water, dish of earth or salt*

{*note that salt kills plants}

Procedure:

Ask the higher powers to use the elements to bless and cleanse the labyrinth.

"By the power that is the Lord and the Lady
That works through us,
We cleanse and consecrate these elemental symbols
To Consecrate this sacred labyrinth."

First person takes incense and begins to walk the labyrinth:

"In the Lord and Lady's name I cleanse and consecrate this labyrinth by the power of air."

Second person takes the candle and begins to walk the labyrinth:

"In the Lord and Lady's name I cleanse and consecrate this labyrinth by the power of fire."

Third person takes the water and begins to walk the labyrinth:

"In the Lord and Lady's name I cleanse and consecrate this labyrinth by the power of water."

Fourth person takes the earth and begins walking the labyrinth sprinkling the soil:

"In the Lord and Lady's name I cleanse and consecrate this labyrinth by the power of earth."

The last person enters the labyrinth:

In the name of the one spirit that is the Lord and Lady we cleanse, consecrate and bless this labyrinth by the light of spirit. So mote it be!"

When all have reached the center of the labyrinth the element is left in the middle. So the incense is left, the fire snuffed but left, and the water and soil dumped. All leave the labyrinth.
