Welcome to the official website of the Historical Society for Northeastern Friesland. The Society focuses on archive research on (family) history in the neighbourhood of Dokkum and Dongeradelen (North-Eastern Friesland). Surrounding communities such as Dantumadeel, Kollumerland, Schiermonnikoog, Ameland and Ferwerderadeel also have our interest. The research results are published in our 68-pages quarterly journal, De Sneuper. We also regularly organize lectures and member meetings.
