The Ultimate in Beauty and Elegane of
The Thai Architecture
|
![phra merumas3](../images/merumas4.jpg) |
The Phra Merumas is position in the center of
the platform, in the square shape of the towering structure
with 4 gable ends. The top is the sharp-spired coif, having
both the interior and exterior texture. The base of Phra Merumas
has a lion shape, with the floor made of hard wood, and there
are 8 pillars in the north and south side, while there are 4
pillars in the east and west side. |
All the our gable ends have wide space. The north and south
ends are longer than the east and west ends.
The last most important part in the ceremony is to lift
Savettachatra up to the Phra Merumas top. This Savettachatra
repressents the nobility of Her Royal Highness The Princess
Mother.
It's the greatest honor to all artisans that involved
in this royal ceremony. Everyone had given all their heartful
efforts and times to create this ultimate architecture. Although
the Royal cremation has now passed by, the greatest mournful
event in the history is still in the heart and soul of all
Thai people.
