There are six class levels:
1. Youth Beginner
2. Beginner Rider
3. Beginner Horse
4. Intermediate 2
5. Intermediate 1
6. Advanced

Here are some guidelines to follow in placing yourself-

You are BEGINNER If:
- You or your horse has never shown before and you are still trying to master the basic skills for this event.

You are INTERMEDIATE 2 if:
- You or your horse has shown once or twice before, but you are still trying to master the basic skills for this event.

You are INTERMEDIATE 1 if:
- You or your horse has shown more than twice before but you have never received top scores for this event (no rated horses).

You are ADVANCED if:
- You or your horse has shown before and won high scores, or if you are riding a rated horse.

YOUTH BEGINNER is reserved for people under age 14 who otherwise fit the category “BEGINNER”.

BEGINNER RIDER is reserved for riders who fit the BEGINNER category, but it is not necessary for their horses to be so.

BEGINNER HORSE is reserved for young horses who fit the BEGINNER category, but it is not necessary for their riders to be so.

note: You are, of course, free to enter more difficult classes, but please do not attempt to enter less difficult classes.
