The One Chapter 12
"You did WHAT?" Isabel screamed over the phone the next day.
"I said I'm going out to dinner with Robert tonight," Star said.
"You did WHAT?"
Star sighed. "He found me in the candle store yesterday and said we had some unfinished business. He asked me to go out to dinner with him tonight. I couldn't say no."
"So what are you going to do?"
"I'm going to tell him it's over between us."
"Are you going to tell AJ about this meeting?"
"Yeah, I'll tell him eventually."
"You'd better tell him tonight! He'll be home at 5:30! Let him know!"
"I will tell him! I promise."
"You'd better!" Isabel insisted.
"Listen, Iz, I'm going to go. I have a lot of stuff to unpack and I have to get ready for my date," she said, saying "date" sarcastically.
Isabel laughed. "It's only 11:30! Oh wait. Howie's leaving." Star heard Isabel talking to Howie, quietly.
"Ok, Star, I'll let you go. I want details about the 'date.'"
She laughed. "I will."
"Bai, Star."
"Bai, Iz."

"Hey, AJ, can I talk to you?" Howie asked. They were at a photo shoot and they had a break.
"Sure. What's up?"
"You know Star's going out with Robert tonight, right?"
"WHAT?"
Howie's eyes opened wide. "Oh, God. AJ, I'm sorry. I thought you knew."
"She's going out with that bastard? After he hurt her like that?"
"AJ, relax, man. It's just dinner. Besides, you guys aren't together."
"I know that, D. I don't want her to get hurt again. That's all."
"Dude, you need to calm down! Isabel told me that she was going to tell him that it's over between them!"
"I don't think so. I think she's going to get back with him."
"She's not going to, Aje. She wants to be with you!"
"Yeah, right. She wouldn't do this if she wanted to be with me."
"Hey, guys, we're needed on the set," Kevin said.
"Ok, we're coming," Howie said. "Come on, AJ. I'm telling you, she wouldn't go back to him."
"Yeah, right," he said to Howie's retreating back.
