The Properties of Crystals

Crystals are used to enhance or strengthen spells or for personal use. Each type of crystal has its own, personality, so to say, and most can only be used for specific purposes (i.e. protection, healing, etc).

This is far from a complete list of crystals and their properties but it is a start. This is a list of the most commonly used crystals.

Adventurine: Good luck

Agates:

Banded: Relieves stress, emotional pain
Dendritic: (white with blue or black spots) protection in travel
Indian: (eye formation in the center) protection
Moss: healing
Plume: (milky with red) visualization, reaching goals

Amber: protection (for children), money, good all around stone

Amethyst: transform negativity, strengthen 3rd eye, dreams, friendship, headaches, alcoholism

Bloodstone: removing mental & physical blocks, healing, protection, avoid wounds, brings money, increase production, invisibility

Clear Quartz: can be used for any other stone, good for everything if charged for it

Fluorite: meditation, past life, intellect

Jasper: strengthen energy, relieve stress

red: night protection, defensive magick, return of negative energy
green: healing
brown: grounding

Malachite: enhance vision questing, healing, protection

Moonstone: love, compassion, sympathy, enhances psychic powers, promotes peaceful sleep

Obsidian: protection, scrying

Rose Quartz: love, peace, beauty, self-love

Smokey Quartz: energy, protection

Sodalite: stress reducer, teaching

Sunstone: energy, healing

Tiger Eye: (brown) luck, fortune, truth

Falcon's Eye: (blue) focus

Turquoise: stress reducer, communication enhancer, love, peace, health, happiness, protection
