VISHNU FESTIVAL

 

THIRU PAVITHRA UTSAVAM

Following the success of last year's festival a special festival dedicated to Lord Sri Venkateswara will be celebrated at The Sri Venkateswara Temple, Helensburgh from Friday 5^th December to Sunday 7^th December 2003.

 

This festival or utsavam is named after The "Pavithram" or Sacred Coloured Threads that will be draped on the deity during the festival. It is conducted to protect us from natural disasters like bush fire, floods etc and social upheavals.
