PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE & INSPECTION PROGRAM
1.
Inspect all connections to printer; remove housing
panels for thourough cleaning.
2.
Clean and inspect toner cartridge including corona
wire transfer roller and print drum.
3.
Clean beam-to-drum mirror assembly.
4.
Clean registration assembly: recondition rollers,
remove paper particles and toner.
5.
Clean transfer corona assembly of toner, dust and
oxidation.
6.
Clean guide assembly, This step is especially important
for all duplexng machines somce failure to do so
can cause “ghosting” on the backside of the page.
7.
Inspect and clean the fuser assembly, all gears,
rollers and covers.
8.
Clean the thermistor and thermofuse to prevent scoring
on upper fusing roller.
9.
Remove and clean exit area of fuser assembly, cleaning
paper pawls to prevent paper scoring.
10.
Vacuum all particulate from interior of mahine and
clean paper path.
11.
Check and clean all sensors along paper path, at
fuser and around cartridge.
12.
Check and clean ozone filter and upper and lower
cooling fans. Ozone filter will be repalced if needed.
13.
Inspect delivery coupler and delivery assembly for
worn gears and rollers; clean if necessary. 14.
Wipe down interior of the printer and check main
gear path for wear and foriegn objects.
15.
Clean and restock paper tray; clean and recondition
feed-roller are before inserting tray.
16.
Clean printer casing, vent areas and exit tray thoroghly,
removing smudges and marks.
17.
Generate minimum 10 prints of “Self-test” to check
engine functions and ensure good image quality.
18.
Present customer with a Preventive Maintenance and
Inspection Program Report for review and discussion
of findings on print counts, repair recommendations
and general printer condition.
