Stavanger Norway

Thank you for visiting this page.
Please enjoy the views of Norway as I did on my visit there.

This is a picture
of the beach that
was just down the
road from where
we were staying.

These two pictures were taken at what they call a salmon ranch. They have them all throughout the
North Sea coast. It was feeding time and in this second picture, you can see the salmon jumping.

This is a picture of the harbour
in downtown Stavanger
This is Svein in front of the gate
at his childhood cabin, where he grew up.

This is me and Svein as we go on our journey down one of the fjords in Norway

These were shots taken just as we were leaving the harbour. As we go through the fjords you will see some tremendous moutain views and cabins sitting along side the water. The Ferry we were on was like a bus through town. It made regular stops throughout the fjords and dropped people off just along side the banks. From there they had to walk to their destinations..... On with the tour.....
This bridge spans totaly
across the fjord.
It is they only spot
throughout the fjord
where there is a
bridge connecting one
side to the other.

These pictures are of the beautiful mountains and scenery we passed as we traveled through the fjord..

These last three pictures are of the same mountain site. The first one is a far away view and each one was taken with a closer zoom shot. In the last one, if you look real hard you can see people sitting there on the ledge of the cliff. You must walk up the 5000 feet to sit up there and I hear tell the view is worth the hike up there.

These pigmy goats were in the road as we were driving down the mountain after our trip through the fjord. We had to wait as they crossed the road. Just as we started to go, a few of them decided to turn around and get a closer look at us...

These are pictures that I took when we visited a preserved site from the original vikings. These are homes & hutches made into the hills with stones, mud, and grass. They built them into the hillsides so they would not be noticed by passing ships...

This is our last night in Norway. As you can tell, we had a good time.
