Joey Dante, an ex-New York cop haunted by the cold-blooded murder of his partner, runs a modestly nostalgic cop bar in the West Village. His peace is shattered when two officers under investigation blame Joey's bar for serving while on duty.

Thanks to an old grudge held by an Internal Affairs Agent, Joey finds himself slapped with a fine heavy enough to close the bar. Joey buckles.

Desperate to preserve the only remnant that keeps him close to his partner's dream, Joey searches for a way to pay off the fine. He reluctantly teams with his partner's gambling brother, Mickey, for an in-and-out heist masterminded by his womanizing cousin, Tommy.

The heist's explosive aftermath catapults Joey into an eye-opening revelation surrounding the mystery of his partner's death.
