Soon, I was elected Chairman of the English Department. And after several excellent years of teaching, I followed my wife to Washington where she began care for a 97 year old woman in her ocean shore home. This was a perfect opportunity for me to begin writing screenplays for feature-length films.
Unfortunately, the woman to which Shari provided care, passed away in April of 1998. So we moved to Lynden.
A little over a year later, Andrew was born. And here we are!
I optioned my first screenplay only months after finishing it. But it got put on hold as I was commissioned to assist with the production of another film. Plans for shooting are sometime this year, but this is a cutthroat industry! You never know what'll change!
After many interesting experiences (read my journal), I founded The Indie Film Group (IFG) --an organization of Writers, Directors, and Producers who work together and provide educational seminars from time to time. Visit the site if you're interested.
