Click on the pictures to enlarge Joshua was born in July of 1993. He was born in Iowa, just a month or so before we packed up for Arizona (where I took a teaching job). He wasn't very old when he was hospitalized for dehydrating something fierce. It was a pretty scary time. After that, we weren't really worried about him. He's a toughie. He didn't talk much, but that was because he didn't want to. He would walk around the house with his fingers in his mouth, pointing and grunting. He'd get upset when we'd insist he speak. These pictures are of Joshua in kindergarten and first grade. He just looooooves school. After watching his older brother go to school for two years, he couldn't wait to go himself. In first grade, Joshua took up reading with a vengence! He reads a book a night --not including the books Shari and I read to him. Also, he's grateful for his little brother, Andrew. Josh just loves to sit by him and touch the satin corner of his blanket. Joshua's favorite things to do are: Read, play cars, suck his fingers, watch The Simpsons with his Dad (me), and play whatever Gameboy Games his brother is playing.
