Like I haven't heard that little song since I was old enough to ride the bus! Heh, heh!
It'll be a few years before my own children become ridiculed on the school bus, but I had hopes they might escape the ridicule of that particular song. However, with the way Hollywood keeps releasing those ADDAMS FAMILY movies, I don't think they'll escape it!
Most of this website is about me, so I won't hog too much of this page.
I graduated from a small Christian high school in Iowa, and from there I attended a local liberal arts college. After my second year at college, I met my wife, SHARI, and we took a year off from school to live in Washington. POP! There we had our first son, LUKE! We returned to Iowa where I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education for teaching English and language arts. And then POP! There we had our second son, JOSHUA! |
He was just in time to pack up his diapers and fly out to Arizona where I began teaching high school English --literature, Shakespeare, film, and creative and college preparatory writing.
After just one year, I was elected Chairman of the English Department! After several excellent years of teaching, I followed my wife to Washington where she began care for a 97 year old woman in her ocean shore home. This was a perfect opportunity for me to begin writing screenplays for feature-length films. Unfortunately, the woman Shari provided care for, passed away in April of 1998. So we moved to Lynden. |

TO THE LEFT is a drawing of my wife, SHARI, as seen by a street artist at the Vancouver Aquarium in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I was supposed to be in the picture too, but the artist was incredibly slow!
We would have stayed for the whole picture, but we were with a tour group of Japanese students I had been teaching, and our bus was leaving! The street artist told us "only 15 minutes..."! But 25 minutes later, he had managed to draw only Shari!!

This particular photo was taken in October of '98... right in our back yard! I think both pictures are very accurate when depicting Shari. Both reveal a lot about her personality. She's got very caring eyes.
Shari has been actively involved with caring for people since she was in high school. Her first job was as a Certified Nursing Assistant for a local rest home. Since then, she has provided child care and adult care. Her involvement with childcare included care for children with severe mental and physical disabilities. She was amazing! Currently, Shari is an adult care provider for the two Adult Family Homes her parents own and operate here in Washington. |
TO THE RIGHT is a picture of all of us a few years ago. See how cute The Boyz were?
They grow up so fast! |
THIS PHOTO is the most recent picture of LUKE and JOSH... whom I affectionately call "The Boyz"! Presently (1998), Luke is 7, and Josh is 5.
|
Born on December 12, 1990, Luke is currently seven years old! He'll be eight soon enough though, huh?! He is in the 2nd grade and LOOOOOOOOVES his teacher, Mrs. Meenderinck ! His favorite things to do are: Read, play computer games, and watch The Simpsons with his Dad... (unless it's an inappropriate episode... then he watches a Veggie Tales video)! |
Born on July 13, 1993, Joshua is five years old! He is currently in kindergarten, and he LOOOOOOOVES his teacher, Mrs. Cook! Unfortunately, he only goes to school three days out of the week! He wishes he could go more often! His favorite things to do are: Play the Nintendo Gameboy (even if he doesn't really know what's going on), play with cars, go to Sunday school, and color in coloring books! |
