Title: Oh man! Sorry!

Holy cow! I am soooo sorry! I have not written for several weeks! Well... actually I HAVE been writing --just not in my journal.

I've been working on a typing project for a gentleman with a very funny script. It's been an enjoyable experience.

I've been subbing a lot too. I've been doing the typing during the lulls I have while subbing.

I've recently received two scripts to proof-read as well. So I'll be tackling that as soon as possible.

About a week ago, I had a power meeting with my producer. She has really been impressed with the way things have been going with our script. It was a good meeting! The only disappointing thing was that the director she wants to shoot the script will be tied up with Val Kilmer's film until August. Bummer. But I'll be fine.

My producer explained that she might want to get a different director so that we can film earlier, but I like her first choice. I think he'd be worth waiting for.

While I wait, I'll be teaching a course on screenwriting at a local college.

I really enjoy teaching, and it's exciting to help people that way! My wife looks forward to me doing that too.

Oh! I should probably mention that we have another youngster on the way! We hope it's a girl... 'cause then we'll be done!

Can you tell if it's a boy or a girl?
(Should I start taking wagers? Heh, heh!)

It'll be nice to have a third little one around the house. Of course, we're going to have to get a bigger house!

Ok... I'm going to sign off. But before I go, look through your scripts! Try to eliminate as many parentheticals as you possibly can!

Nearly every script I've been getting has had excessive parentheticals! This is an attempt to control the WAY an actor presents the dialogue!

Remember... your dialogue should be written so well that suggestions of how to actually read them should have to be written out!

Ok... that's today! Have a day!
