The Chronic
The Chronic is one of the most influential rap albums to ever be released. It ushered the industry out of the old school scene and brought with it true gangsta rap. It also gained mainstream acceptance, which made the hip-hop game the money-earner that it is today.
Besides the already-established Dr. Dre, The Chronic featured many other up-and-coming young
talents. Warren G, Daz, Kurupt, Rage, Nate Dogg and Bushwick Bill all made appearances, but it was Snoop who carried most of the lyrical side of the album. With this effort, Death Row Records was born.
