Gridlock'd soundtrack
This soundtrack to the Tupac movie did well enough in sales, but it started 1997 off on a bad foot
for the label, as many folks started preaching that Death Row was through for sure - as they do every year.
Honestly, it was a horrible year for the company. Financial and law troubles were obstacles, and no one ever got used to the physical absence of Suge, even though he makes decisions from the jail cell. And, of course, consumers strangely began to take a liking to Bad Boy and Puffy, which indirectly steals sales as well as severely hurting the morale of the real fans of Death
Row.
