More Cakes!

This was for another friend's son. I made a candy melt plaque and then baked a cake in the same pan for a base. I piped the webbing with leftover candy.

This one was for my best friend. I didn't plan enough time and it is my first attempt at making a basketweave. All-in-all, not bad.

This was for an Easter/birthday celebration.

This was my first attempt at fondant.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!

This cake was for a surprise baby shower for a lady I play bunko with each month.

Those purple things on the cake are supposed to be bunnies 'sewn' onto the 'blanket' but they look kinda like spiders. LOL
Fortunately, for me, she likes bunnies and tarantulas! So it was a win-win!

This was for Jana and Jeff's son, Alex.

This was my first attempt at marshmallow fondant. I didn't make enough to cover the cake, but that's ok. It's just another part of the learning process.

I just made this for my friend Ronda's son, Adam. (I did the Spiderman cake for him last year.)
It's a 9-inch strawberry cake with chocolate whipped cream filling and is covered in buttercream. The plaque on top is made with candy melts.
Oh yeah. It's also supposed to be my version of a Power Ranger.
