Welcome! These are just a few of the cakes I have made for Rodney's birthdays. The theme for Rodney's 4th birthday was construction. For the cake, I added cookies, candies, and toys to a Costco cake.
Rodney's 5th birthday centered around Star Wars and the Death Star. This was my first time ever working with candy clay. If I were to do it again, I would have piped the lines onto the cake and used the candy clay to make light sabers. Oh well...live and learn...
This was for Rodney's 6th birthday. Bionicle was the theme. I wrote Rodney's name in the Bionicle language and the toys on top are called "Vahki." Another view. I had a tough time trying to find a good image of the Bionicle symbol to work with. The toys made decorating easy, but I wish I could've done it a little differently.
